From the bathroom at the Vic... you can fish anywhere!
Ok I am posting this hand and i am embarrassed by how I played but it is a learning curve about rushing.
Early in a tournament at The Vic (London) tonight I had the following hand:
Me CO: QQ BB: JJ MP: ATo
Flop Rainbow. K T 2
Bet 1500 with a call.
I folded to see the above turned over and nearly vomited. I think the fold post flop was good given pre-flop play but I think my pre-flop play was appalling.
This is how it player out:
Preflight blinds 50/100
2 limpers I raise to 400, fold reraise to 1k from BB a call then I call.
Looking back my only play is I should have shipped.
Reraiser had JJmay have folded, fold equity? But all that being said all in would have meant I would have no tough decision on flop.
After that mistake I had to fold on flop given the action but there would have been no action if I raised preflop. Silver lining, after dropping a lot of chips I have made the last 30 and will see how it pans out.
Learning experience?
EDIT: wish there was better news but boom, busted out. AK with 3 callers to my all in loses to QQ, thems the breaks.
