Lately I have switched from 6max Cash to HU Cash, back to 6Max and now I’m switching again. I’ve always used HU SnG’s in the past as my “fun” game. If I wanted to play poker but felt I wasn’t in the state of mind to play my main game good enought I played HU SnG’s but played them badly. Now I’m acually going to give these a shot because these games can be really profitable at the Mid level stakes. I’ve played almost 200 of them so far and really like them. At first I had some big leaks but fixed the biggest ones like playing a little too loose OOP, and a few others. I feel good about my post flop game. So while trying to get a little used to them I read a lot of posts on the 2p2 HU Forum which is great, some really good posters there and I also watched some HU SnG videos which helped.

Before watching the videos and reading posts I lost 15 buyins..I ran really bad but also was making some big fundemental mistakes. Since then I have won 27 buyins and feel my game has improved a lot in only 2 weeks. Right now I am rolled for the $33 SnG’s but will keep playing the $11.50’s until I have a bigger sample and learn more, also then my chances of having a higher ROI at the $22’s will be greater. I plan to move up kind of fast if things go well because of rake.

Other than that I’m getting really sick of Fort Mcmurray, Alberta..hopefully within the next year I can be profitable enough at poker to leave here. Also I’m looking to go for a trip in the next few months..I’ve never been outside of Canada and for now I want to keep it cheap so I am thinking of going to the Dominican Republic for a week and do the All Inclusive thing so if any of you guys that read this and have been there can reccommend a resort that you have been to and liked.. it would be great. I’m 22 so I don’t want one where it’s mostly all old people LOL. Anyway this is getting long, thanks for reading and good luck.
