The Part Where I Light a Fire Under my Ass

Definitely wasn't a great month results wise, but I ran kinda bad. Down about 5k in all in EV, but I'm hesitant

to blame my results on that just because there are so many spots that aren't shown in the all in ev. I definitely remember catching myself

making bad auto-pilot cbets etc etc. Overall though I'm pretty happy with July. I was 10k hands short of my 40k hand goal, but I think just focusing

on improving my game is way more important right now and I feel like I made some solid strides in that area this month.

Yesterday was a kind of interesting end to the month. I felt like playing some HU so I sat at some 100-400nl tables waiting for action. I played some randoms for a little bit

kinda trading money back and forth until dragons1974 sat with me at 2/4. We 1 tabled for awhile and he seemed pretty bad/fishy doing lots of mindonking and other random

stuff.

Anyway he eventually challenges me to 5/10. I'm thinking "man this seems like I pretty good spot to take a shot" was planning on quitting if I lost 2 buyins. 

I went to PTR him, but had used my 10 searches for the day so I asked my roommate to do it. Apparently he's a huge beast who's won like 500k on stars. 

So I obviously pass on the 5/10 and he gets mad that I'm hit and running him etc. Which is a guess understandable after punting money off to someone

in an attempt to get them to think you suck. Seemed kind of shady, but whatever. I'm glad I realized who he was, but who knows maybe I would have ran

like god and won a bunch lol.
