November Goals

October went fairly well, built up some consistency and am looking now to expand off that. So for November I'm aiming to:

  • Keep a daily blog for the 50k challenge
  • Active in the forums daily
  • Watch TV shows only Wednedays (flew through the whole BSG series in under 2 weeks... ugh)
  • Read the ~10 books I have lined up

Rob posted this awesome article about how the more people's minds wander the less happy they are, and this can be remedied by mediation. Now I've always kind of liked meditation, but a lot of the time it's hard for me to see the results. I can do a work out and feel at the end like it's doing something, but mediation seems to be a much slower growth, and way harder. So I really like it when science can show the mechanisms in which mediation operates by and the positive effects of it.

Also on workouts I decided to stop being a skinny nerd and try to bulk up. I've never really been able to put on weight no matter what I'd done but I've been following a lot of stuff in the 4 Hour Body and I'm up 5kg in 3 weeks and kept the same BF% so woo me.

I think I had more to say but I forget (or is it forgot?).

Oh well.

gl with the gettin huge. Make sure you get a serious dose of protein immediately after you train; can vouch for the difference it makes.

Ya, interestingly when Tim Ferriss put a continuous glucose monitor on himself he found that liquids took 30-90 minutes to hit his bloodstream so to get post-workout protein you may actually have to have it pre-workout.

Obv all this stuff is debatable though so I have 40g whey isolate 30 minutes before, 40g straight after then a high protein meal 30 minutes after that to cover all bases... then try to keep it all down.

Squats, deadlifts & bench press + some assistence excersises.

Eat good, eat a lot. You are not eating enough. I can tell you already. Drink water. Rest.
