ROCKET ATTACK! :) PLO HU

Have been running really bad lately, which have decreased my thoughts about my own poker game - taking bad decisions and taking bad lines in different spots. So I've stopped playing online for some time. I think I have to get a little bit away from the game - also, i'm turning in a big school assignment in two weeks, which would take alot of my time anyway, so the timing is kinda good :)

But then a friend of mine crashed for two hours - he had turned 1 usd into 70 since earlier this morning, and needed some internet to play. So had to find some money somewhere. Luckily, i had forgot about 35 usd on pokerstars - which obv. claimed to be fired in 1 big shot. A rocket to the moon!!

Turned out quite well after hit and running (I don't feel sorry for this at all!) different regs from 50plo to 600plo :)

I'm still going to WPT Vejle later this month, and hopefully I have got a stake by then - should be easy with that graph imo ^^

February, oh dear February: Graph and hh included

This month started out really great, and I quickly hit +100 buyins for the year. But it turned back as fast as it came, so now I'm grinding myself even after a early downswing for the fifth month in a row:

User Uploaded Image

I'm pretty happy, that I was able to put in the volume I have, no matter how I ran - showing i'm less results oriented than I used to be. I'm re watching EPTPE again, so I ques it only gets better :)

What i'm not happy about is how I have been donking money away in tours lately. My egde in those fields are real small, if even existing - so why I feel like playing them, is a mystery :S

The PLO grind:
I'm taking shots at 100plo when I feel my game is going well. This if from my latest session. Had a real fun match against a really aggro villian:

Entraction $100.00 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 2 players - View hand 1625720
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $370.95 - VPIP: 60, PFR: 54, 3B: 16, AF: 3.5, Hands: 6899
BTN/SB: $617.65 - VPIP: 76, PFR: 60, 3B: 45, AF: 1.8, Hands: 255

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BB with K of spades T of diamonds Q of clubs A of spades
BTN/SB raises to $3, Hero raises to $9, BTN/SB calls $6

Flop: ($18.00) 7 of hearts 4 of diamonds Q of spades(2 players)
Hero bets $13.50, BTN/SB calls $13.50

Turn: ($45.00) K of diamonds(2 players)
Hero bets $33.75, BTN/SB calls $33.75

River: ($112.50) A of diamonds(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets $112.50, Hero calls $112.50

Final Pot: $337.50
Hero shows K of spades T of diamonds Q of clubs A of spades
BTN/SB shows 5 of diamonds 9 of clubs 8 of spades 4 of spades
Hero wins $336.75
(Rake: $0.75)

Notes: he is floating alot, never 4b or 5b to any of my 3-4b (had been 4b him alot because he was 3betting like 45%), He was real aggro on turns, where i've seen him raise alot of draws and blockers, which exclude pretty much all the hands he is trying to rep on the river. His pot bet range is also polarized. So i def think the river is a perfect spot to induce a bluff. I'm still struggling to see how I'm playing it against other types of players.

Hero (BTN/SB): $547.70 - VPIP: 60, PFR: 54, 3B: 16, AF: 3.5, Hands: 6899
BB: $438.35 - VPIP: 76, PFR: 60, 3B: 45, AF: 1.8, Hands: 255

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN/SB with 4 of clubs Q of clubs A of diamonds 2 of spades
Hero raises to $3, BB raises to $9, Hero calls $6

Flop: ($18.00) 5 of hearts 2 of diamonds A of clubs(2 players)
BB bets $13.50, Hero calls $13.50

Turn: ($45.00) 4 of hearts(2 players)
BB bets $45.00, Hero calls $45

River: ($135.00) 2 of hearts(2 players)
BB bets $101.25, Hero raises to $438.75, BB calls $269.60 all in

Final Pot: $876.70
Hero shows 4 of clubs Q of clubs A of diamonds 2 of spades
BB shows 6 of diamonds A of spades 3 of hearts Q of hearts
Hero wins $875.95
(Rake: $0.75)

I'm normally folding this turn a decent percent of the time, but decided to flat, because I didn't thought he would cc on a lot of rivers. His pot size bet is pulling his range against the nuts, and because I haven't seen cr the river over 355 hands, I thought I had a nice opportunity to win the pot, even if I didn't boat up. So i'm betting most rivers when checked too.

The river is so tricky, because i'm def. just flatting this against a lot of players. But because he's shown alot of thin valuebet's on the river, he knows, that I know he is valuebetting thin, so I did assume, he's is thinking that I'm bluffing it often, because it would be std for him to fold..

Hope that make sense, or just write a comment :)

Still grinding HU PLO: Days graph included

Just a quicky,
(music of the hour)

I've been running pretty bad lately - i'm not complaining just stating the facts! :)

Been playing overall very good, but have ofc. some spots I can adjust.

Been putting in a nice volume this month, I will post a graph in the next couple of days. Had hoped for a +100 buyins, but that's seems kinda hard to achieve atm.

Todays grind:

Running good, running bad, RUNNNIAAAIIING GOOOOOD, RUNNIIING BAAAAAJD :( ... and run good

The good thing is, that my Ev line soon gross my actual profit.

Also, I have been taking more shots at 100plo, which have went really bad. I'm like 10 buyins below ev at my 1k hands played at 100plo - so it' makes it kinda hard to break through... So I have to rethink that one :)

PLO: 2012 swingy year

Until now 2012 has been a VERY swingy year.

Started out depositing 500 dollars on pokerstars. Had some good days until I met this big tour player. He was bragging about his recen't win in the chat, and PTR had him down -40k at different stakes - he was loosing at them all. He was playing some pretty leaky ABC poker against me on two tables, but ended up crushing me at every showdown. Big setups in 3b and 4b pots, so before I knew it, I had deposit 500 dollars more.

Busted that aswell

User Uploaded Image

That's some 6 max aswell, and also HU against other players. But quess where I was playing him :)

GOGO EURO SITES!
I then went to some euro sites to grind my month back in green. I quess that was accomplished:

And I also made my biggest tour cash so far, when I finished second in a 22 tour on ongame:

So month so far is 3.7k usd with live games aswell. Best month by far - so i'm really happy about that :)

Shots at 100plo:
Today I took shots at 100plo. I have tried to break through earlier, but ended up loosing 3 buyins in 100 hands. So hoped for a better run this time:

I'm close to getting a staking deal for the next couple of months, which includes coaching. So I'm really hoping for that to go through. If not i'm just sticking to 50plo, and hopefully playing a good volume, and playing good :)

I'm also planning to play a WPT national PLO event in denmark in about a month aswell as some cheap NLHE tours.

HU50 plo heater! 40 buyins in 5 days :)

The last couple of months has been really tough results wise. I did put a lot of volume in the study, and also made a decent number of hands each month. But I still ended up only breaking even with rakeback. Compared to the swings I went through, and the effort I had put into it, it didn't feel satisfying...

The beginning of 2012 was tough aswell. Ended up loosing a big session against a big fish. Ran really bad and ended up loosing my pokerstars roll :(

Drumroll please:

But what goes around comes around, or some Justin Timberlake shit! So I proudly present, my best 5 days in poker so far:

That is only 20plo€ and 50plo€ and dollars - deep tables included.

Haven't runned this good before, so it has been really fun going through it! :)

Just got owned at flipping

I will post a long blog early in the next week about my HU PLO results.

Until then, you can watch why I suck at flipping. It's a known fact, that the only way you can affect the results at the table, is by listening to the right music. Sadly, I did put to much trust in Taylor Swift, and I was leveled big time:

Hu PLO: montly update

YoYo,

I know I haven't made as many updates, as I wanted. But i'm really trying to increase that from now on.

October results:

User Uploaded Image

I haven't been putting in enough time away from the table. Making stupid decisions, like playing too long, playing too high and worst of all, my game selection. Actually, the problem is that it doesn't exist. For as long I have been playing HU PLO, I haven't quitted a player - mainly because of ego problems. I really don't think, that I was worse than those I played - and I still believe this to be true - but the rake just take makes i massivly -EV.

When we talk about the rake, the rakeback I got paid from october, actually pulled the month up in the green digits :)
- but still not good enough

November:
This month started way better! Was up 11 buyins, just to drop it back and way more. Atm I'm down 17 buyins for the month, but still making money with rakeback - not ideal, but I'm working on it :P

Had I really sick 1 table session against a decent player. He had some sick aggro tendencies after he lost his stack - gambling to get deep. But I  ran pretty good against him - really thought about quitting him, but really though he was tilting way too much, so decided to delay my sleep a little more.

Results:

User Uploaded Image

after running godmode against him in allinpots, he got some pretty sick setups deep - so thanks for destroying my ev-line :( It was all on €50PLO, so that just make it worse :(

User Uploaded Image

ATM my bankroll is 700 usd - So I moved down to 20PLO only.  I'm currently talking alot of HU PLO with some mates on skype, but if anyone is interested, you can add me as: femhundredeogtyvevildepirater

Goals:
So I obv need to change these things, which leads to the following goals:

  • tighter BRM: was taking shots to light at higher stake, when I followed a fish
  • Better table selection: quitting players earlier in games where the rake takes all the value
  • More study away from the table: more movies, hh analyze and forum post

Finally, I was introduced to a new term last night:

J.F.D.I.

- Just Fucking Do It -

...

So I sure will!

I'm alive! From PLO 6 max to HU.

Long time no see.

I'm trying to be more active on various forums, and would like to start blogging again. Showing hands, histories and results - if not for you, then for me.

I came back to PLO after finishing my exams. Really motivating to improve my game, and finally beating 10plo - 25plo 6 max. Without spoiling to much, that didn't happen. I watched alot of videos, talked alot of hands and really felt I improved. Still I found it hard to keep up with everything playing 4 tables as I used to. Looking back I def. had a too loose approach to the game.

Here's my results from the break to now (2players+ only):

User Uploaded Image

Which gave me around 600€ in profit.

I really coudn't find the motivation to keep grinding 6 max and I quite accidentally found my way to HU PLO instead. I have previously grinded NL HU with a small succes, and tried to figure out how to play this as I did with NL. That's only some weeks ago, but I already love the game. So my furture contains more studying than ever. I really wanna succed, and it will happen.

All my HU hands (some NL aswell, needed action):

User Uploaded Image

I already have alot of HUPLO guys on skype, but if any of you wanna talk poker, feel free to add me on skype: Miro347

Good Luck

I broke my laptop :(

I know the title sounds stupid in this rage-tilt poker world :P But it's actually not poker related at all. Sadly, I just felt with my open laptop in my hand, resulting in it's not working :(

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn. and this is 2 days away from my writting period - have a week to write an assignment. So if I don't want to handwrite it all, I need to solve this quick.

Pokerwise I hitted a little downswing. That + my aggro bankroll resulted in a -100 usd. So i'm out of the DC Challenge :(

Luckily I have a lot of rakeback, so i'm back grinding PLO10. The PLO games are really soft, so if i play with a little better BRM, I hope to kick my roll up....

Hopefully all this will happen when I get my computer back...
