PLO <strike>Fullring NLHE</strike> Grinding

Didn’t play much poker at all in September, 34k hands, 68 hours according to HM. At leats I ended up with a positive result +$263, hmm that’s almost $2.3k below EV :S

yeye whatever, October will be grate! Will play much PLO, its a really big variety of players, luckily most of the players don’t know what they are doing :D today I got called down with TTxx on a 3QAA5-board, I had AKxx, I think I bet like $36 into a $60 pot and he snap calls, haha :)

Haven’t watched all PLO vids that I planned either, guess I need to work on my discipline too…

Borrowed a “tape-program”, but it’s on CD :), from a friend, it’s called personal power by Tony Robbins, seems pretty good, he talks about what motivate people how to accomplish your goals and stuff. It’s like 30 episodes or a 30 days program, I think I have listened to 6-8 episodes now, but I will continue for sure.

Played a PLO session today and I must say that the PLO tables are grate, so many bad players its sick! I’m planning to start start playing PLO and NLHE 50/50, maybe something like 2-4 days PLO and then some days with NLHE. Will also make a schedule for next month so I put in the hands, have been lazy as hell this month, haven’t played much at all tbh…

Was playing really tight 19/10 on a 6max table. Last week, before I watched PLO vids, I was playing like 23/17 i think. WIll go over todays session tomorrow and make sure I don’t get too passive. I remember one of the tables had this huge donk, and for a while the average pot in the lobby was 115bb :O

Another sick thing happen today, I thought I flopped the nut straight but I had just a pair + wrap, 8754 on a T65ss flop, so I c/r the flop and bet pot on the turn, and villain calls, the board is now T65ss-J-5, the board pairs and I check the river (still thinking I have nut straight) to let villain bluff a missed draw, he goes allin and I get 4:1 so I call, guess if I was surprised when 85-55J was the winning hand :O (villain had AJT4ds)
I have to change table color so I can see the my hand in text, now the text color is black on a dark gray table…

No poker today, instead I went to IKEA and bought a chair, MARKUS :D

Just cleared the last points for a reload bonus yesterday playing PLO, pretty soft games compared to NLHE, much more variance of course but I think I will give PLO a try. Play something like 50k hands and evaluate how the games are.

Watched first to episodes of Hellomaha yesterday too, will definitely watch the rest of the series and also some of Vanessas videos and the Jman/whitlime series which I can’t remember the name of, Michalscs have some vids too I will check out.

Had a somewhat bad session, lost a AKo vs AKs @ NL400 with 125bb deep stacks. I have never played with villain before but I have heard that he take some strange/bad lines sometimes. I was in SB and he open for 3bb on the button, I 3bet to 11bb and he 4bet shove 125bb, I had AK and I don’t see he doing this with AA/KK, so I stacked off just to see he river a flush, dammit…

Was down about 3 BI at NL200, no real interesting hands to show. Was 9 tabling at the time, and didn’t feel like playing at the full FR tables any longer (had a big fish HU at a FR table) so I closed the full FR tables and joined one PLO200 table with one big stack and four ~75bb stacks, looked pretty fishy… However, maybe an hour later I was at three PLO200 tables and had 300bb-400bb stacks on two of the tables, also took the fish for 100bb @ HU :D

This month started out pretty well and I was up like 7 BI after 5k hands, Then something happened and I run really bad for a session and list 8.5 BI, my worst session up to that date in my poker career.
Took a break for about two days and found the grind again and ended up 11 BI up, my best session ever! So the very next day I was back running really bad again, lost almost every coin flip and two huge 300bb pots where I got the money in as 80% and 75% favorite. I guess this resulted in some bad plays and spews, lost 14 BIs that session! Felt like shit, but I’m well rolled for NL200 so I tried to analyze my bad beats and stupid stack-offs, allin EV was like -8 BI so it was definitely some suckouts involved…

So the last three days or so I have played less tables and I didn’t start any FR tables, to avoid HU and short handed play, which is were most of my spews occurs. It have been working grate, the last couple of days I have won back all money I lost and is currentlu up 8 BI for the month.

Feels grate to be in the green again, but im still 10 BI below EV…

So my first post in this blog.
Was a grate day at the tables today, beat a guy for like 3.5 BI HU when some FR tables break down, was playing the same guy on 2 tables HU while playing 5 full FR tables, also won some from the same guy on the other FR tables, biggest fish ever. But yesterday he coolered the hell out of me.
Well I hope he still play me tomorrow, will look some at his maniac HU stats to prepare myself just in case ;)
