Slow Down Ghandi

What It Do DC?

I haven't blogged in a while.  I really should.  poker is fun.

I'm on the biggest heater/upswing of my life by a lot.  I've only had one losing day this month, which was yesterday for about $400.  I've have yet to eclipse my personal highest winning day, but i've come close 3 times.  Its sort of disgusting, but i'll take it since I've only got 1 month left of poker before I have to hang it up for a while to travel =)

My poker game has been supplemented this month by playing a bunch of HUSNGs.  I've been playing the 210's on stars and ftp as well as the 240 super turbro and 127.5 300chip super turbos on AP.  These have been going really well and it helps me get a bunch of hands in against the same villain and create some fun game dynamics.  the 300 chip games on AP play very fast, as blinds go up every 2 minutes.  I think the longest one lasted about 7 minutes and the average time for them according to my HEM is 3.3 minutes.  I think that a 5-10% ROI is possible in these, so you basically make a profit of 1-2 bucks/minute of game time in them.  thats fine for me.

I've also gotten lucky with a bunch of 10/20 and 15/30 cash action, more than normal for me, which has helped create a big month.

In life: my wife and I have been doing a bunch of packing to get ready for our trip.  We are in the process of renting out our townhouse, and I think we've found renters in a couple of forestry students (I live very close to a university).  I've also been trying to get out to play tennis and disc golf the last while, as post wedding I got into a habit of eating a lot without a lot of activity. I'm hoping to change that a bit.

We have had to make a big adjustment to our travel plans.  We were planning to be in Europe for 6 months from sept 15 - march 15.  We didn't find out until last week, however, that most of Europe (the UK is the notable exception) is part of the Schengen Agreement, which allows easy access without a visa to 25 Euro countries, but limits your time in the Scehngen Area to 3 months in a 6 month period (so when we fly in on the 15th we can be there for 90 days until march 15, then it starts again).  We looked into getting long-stay visas, but have been given the runaround and havent been able to find someone who can help us.  We adjusted our plans to include more time in the UK, as well as adding a couple countries that are not part of the Schengen - Turkey and Croatia.  I'm sure the trip will be fantasic.  We plan to be gone now for5 months, but are already planning/discussing doing a smaller trip in North America when we get back - possibly to Vegas or New York....

I think thats all my excitement for right now.
