What it do DC?

Another month has come and gone.

Poker was pretty ho-hum last month, and i had a small losing month. Obviously disappointing, but it’s whatever. I’m really thinking about my game trying to find some spots to change it up a bit from what i’ve been doing as a ‘standard’ and trying to get a little more aggressive with some semi-bluffs. This might increase my variance, but also should help me steal a few more pots with hands that i would otherwise need to check/fold on the river.

I also played a very small amount of HUPLO in April (>1000 hands), as I am still looking for the excuse to jump into it full board. We’re still awaiting the results of the Invent a Series contest that ran last month and I made reference to in a previous blog. I’m changing my status from pessimistic to cautiously optimistic. Hopefully we get some results soon though!

May started off with a bit of a bang. I played the perfect HUHU opponent yesterday. He c/r me one time over 330 hands. it was on the river in a spot that doing anything other than c/r would have been silly.
He was very easy to play against and lost a good deal of money to me. the villagers rejoiced as the well went from empty to full!

I’m optimistic about this month pokerwise. I want to keep playing a good deal of HULHE, and also pump in 1k-2k hands oh HUPLO. It’s very easy to get those hands in… action is easy to find at the lower limits and two tabling big bet games is a lot less challenging, imo. A lot more small decisions that mean less in absolute value than they do in limit.

I’ve been a little sad about poker in one aspect, as the man that has done so much for my game GrantKropf, has decided to move over fulltime to playing 6max PLO. it will make it harder for him and I to talk poker and do as much sweating/hh review. He’s going to crush the PLO games though with his nittastic style =P

Although, Grant is coming to Vegas with me! So im going to meet him in real life! whoo.

Vegas is planned and booked for June26th-June29th. We’re staying at Harrahs and its my stag.. Grant, me, 3 guy friends, my female groomsman, and my dad are going to invade. I want to get some good 10/20 action if i can.

I want to meet any/every DC’er while im there. Lets make that a reality. for reals.
If you’ve ever read my blog, responded to something i’ve written in a post, read a post of mine, watched one of my videos, whatever. I want to hang out.

I think im going to try to blog a little more often and make them a little shorter. Lysistrata has that down really well. its easy to read he blog because they are never novels. I love KasinoKrime’s blog, but its so long that it takes me a couple sittings to get through… although the HH is always pretty awesome because you get some insight into his poker mind, which is obviously strong.
