The Queen Is Dead
What It Do DC?
I recently played in the DeucesCracked homegame (thanks for organizing Obadonke). It was a lot of fun. We played for a little over an hour and were all in a group skype call the whole time, which gave the game a lot more of a ‘real’ feel to it. I ended up being one of the big losers for the game.. which is a product of running badly, i think, and also the fact that i was in a game with strong players who know what they are doing.
It was really neat watching the video with everyone’s hole cards afterwards and seeing how everyone played.
There were many things that could be commented on, but noone was burning money in any way, which was pretty good to see.
In HUHU news, i’m sitting 10/20 again.
I’m pretty happy about this move, as its been a long time coming and I’m just now feeling confident in my game and my ability to quit when I am losing against someone I don’t keep playing. (as i write this i got involved in a 300 hand match against someone at 8/16 who took me for 550. he wasnt very good, but showed down the best hand more than me, which helped his cause)
I think im still confident, an hour later after starting this. Its hard to adjust to the money being won and lost and the swings doubling in size. I have to keep reminding myself that $100 is only 5BB at 10/20 not 10BB like at 5/10 and that 300 and 400 swings are going to be very very normal in the flow of matches and to not let them frustrate me.
I was going to write more, but im drained now from a big poker day and what i’m pretty sure was my worst day of the month. gg 10/20, haha. actually, i won money at 10/20, i just lost it at 8/16 and 5/10. oh well.
