What It Do DC?

I’m going to be taking the rest of the month off poker. it’s been too much of a struggle for me. I understand that results need to be over a larger sample size than just one month to be really reliable, but at this point I’m only working part time, so poker, i had hoped, would be a nice suppliant. It was also a challenge to myself to see whether I had what it took to try to play poker as more than a hobby.

I’m a small winner since I quit 5/10 FR. I’m up 200-300ish over the last 6-7k hands playing 3/6-5/10 HULHE and HUPLO50.

I had a bad night last night and a disappointing morning, which is probably why I’m going to take a few days off to reflect and get my mind away from poker.

Last night I played a series of BIG pots at 5/10 and lost the majority of them. I was looking at a few of the hands, and I can identify a few that I may have misplayed, or made a couple payoffs that I shouldnt have. That only accounts for a small amount of the loss, sadly.

This morning I played, what I considered to be, a very poor player at HUPLO50. He was willing to stack off quite light and didnt seem to understand relative hand strength at times.

We stacked off like 7 times, I won 5 of them for single stacks. He won both the times we stacked off for 200bb each. The most annoying was where he flopped the dummy end of a straight vs my nut straight and ran out a backdoor flush.

I made a couple calls that were probably bad, but given how lightly he was putting money in the middle I think he could have certainly had a bunch of worse hands. I dunno.

I’m a little lazy to go through HEM right now, but i might later.

I went to the Olympics last week. so amazing. I cant really think of much more to say on that…. well there is a lots, but I have to go teach preschoool!
