My SNG Challenge

Hey guys.

I have never written a poker blog before so this is all new to me. FIrst off a little about myself.

Im Lex, 24, from the UK and have been playing online for about 2 years, but the last 7 months as a solid winner, running $50 up to $7k playing a mix of cash and SNG. I have chosen SNGs for the challenge as i find them easier to grind than cash, and i enjoy the set structure more.

The reason for the challenge, which i will get to shortly, is to help me increase my volume using the challenge as motivation to play and to have something more to work towards, as apposed to the play 10 hours 1 day then 20 mins the next attitude i currently have.

The challenge will be a standard months play for some of you guys, and anyone keeping track of Boku87’s current challenge will find this about as interesting as limit holdem (sorry to offend anyone!). The aim of the challenge is to make €3500 (£3000) in 30 days playing €11 sngs including rakeback, starting on the 1st of September. I will be playing Turbo only games both 6 max and full ring on the Entraction site NoiQ Poker. This will mean more than tripling the most amount of SNGs i have played in a month, which i think was around 700. With peak traffic of 11k players the games are fairly slow to load, but i dont see this been a problem.

I will make regular updates to the blog through out the month and shall post my username for anyone wanting to check out progress on Sharkscope. Again this challenge is relative to my current volume and is in now way stand out in any shape or form. Anyone thinking “yeah i do this every month big deal”, yeah i know there are some super grinders out there, but im not, so this is a challenge for myself to get to that point.

I dont expect it to be easy but im really looking forward to giving it a real good go.
