Some hands

Hi peeps :P
I havent really been playing much lately. Most of the time Ive spent studying. Im reading Easy Game, The Mental Game of Poker and I'm watching videos. I also started a book called Talent is Overrated the other day. I've only read like 80 pages but I'm left with the feeling that I've been told the same thing over and over again. It's an interesting thing that I'm being told but...come on, move on to the next, or the proof or whatever. 370 pages left so I guess there is more to it :P
Only played 2.5 hours yesterday and I sat down for a session today but the games werent very good cause there isnt much traffic at the site Im playing right now, so I only played for half an hour. I think I played pretty well both times.
Here are some "interesting" hands. I'd love some opinions:

MP is a reg, 20/18, AF 6.0, Agg% 27, 3b 7.4, f3b 69, cbet flop 83, cbet turn 3 out of 7 times, c/r turn 2/7 times, 568 hands (those stats are including this hand) I called cause i'm expecting him to give up a ton of dead money on the turn with this huge cbet%, when he raised I figured his value range is too small for me to fold, cause i dont think he does that with better Js so i called and was going to fold the river to any bet. What do you think, +EV?

BB: $36.56

Pre Flop: ($0.45) Hero is BTN with 9 of diamonds J of diamonds
1 fold, MP raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero calls $1, 2 folds

Flop: ($2.45) 5 of diamonds J of spades 5 of clubs(2 players)
MP bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

MP checks, Hero bets $2.54, MP raises to $8, Hero calls $5.46

River: ($21.45) 7 of clubs(2 players)

CO is a monkey fish - 80/34, 18.8 3bet over 114 hands. SB is 80/19, AF 2.1, Agg% 35, 3b 12.5, 59 hands. I bet small cause I felt I can get called by worse and didnt want to bet/call vs his stack cause I didnt think he's bluffing or value raising worse. Any thoughts?

Final Pot: $19.40

(Rake: $1.21)

CO is a reg, 22/16, AF 2.1, Agg% 28, 3b 6.6, f3b 46, 4b 14%, cbet 58, river agg% 26. First - do you think I should have 3bet him preflop?

I checked the turn hoping he'd rep it. Maybe I should have bet cause I will with my air and I have a note that he is tricky so I didnt want to get raised, plus I thought he can check back a Q there cause of a note that he didnt cbet TPGK on dry flop and called two bets on turn and river. My call was motivated by both inconsistency in his line (though with the notes I probably should fold) and I thought it would be some relatively cheap noteworthy information so I called. What do you think? If he had cbet, I would have folded, agree?

Pre Flop: ($0.45) Hero is SB with A of spades Q of clubs
CO raises to $0.90, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.75, 1 fold

Flop: ($2.10) K of spades K of clubs 4 of hearts(2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($2.10) Q of spades(2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($2.10) J of spades(2 players)
Hero bets $1.00, CO raises to $5, Hero calls $4

Same villain from last hand. His MP open is 15%, but his UTG is 17, so I guess its about the same range. I figured with his low cbet and my decent equity hand I can defend, though BB has a 7.1 squeeze from a 496 hand sample but I dont think he's squeezing an early reg open and a reg call very loosely. Standard postflop I think. What would you guys change about the way I played this?

BB: $35.15
UTG: $34.99
MP: $29.55
CO: $62.29
Hero (BTN): $30.30
SB: $30.21

Pre Flop: ($0.45) Hero is BTN with T of spades A of spades
1 fold, MP raises to $0.90, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.90, 2 folds

Flop: ($2.25) 8 of clubs A of hearts J of clubs(2 players)
MP bets $1.20, Hero calls $1.20

Turn: ($4.65) Q of diamonds(2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3.00, MP raises to $11.40, Hero folds

Final Pot: $10.65
MP wins $9.97
(Rake: $0.68)

BB was a stationy fish. SB is a bad (i think) reg, 25/16, AF 2.4, Agg% 29, fold to cbet 54, fold to turn cbet 0/5 (incl this), flop c/r 5% (56) but I dont think the sample is large enough to be making many conclusions (i dont know if this makes my bluff better or worse lol). Flop is standard cbet I think, on the turn I thought he doesnt have AK, i think AJ would raise the flop often and AT and below will fold to 3 barrels. Agree?

SB checks, Hero bets $1.15, SB calls $1.15

Turn: ($4.40) 2 of clubs(2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.75, SB calls $2.75

River: ($9.90) 9 of spades(2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7.00, SB folds

Final Pot: $9.90

BB is 58/12, AF 1.5, Agg% 38, 3b 2.0, fold to cbet 30, F cbet raise is 3/20 times 150 hands.
BU is 61/3, AF 1.1, Agg% 30, 3b 7.7, fold to F cbet 30, raise F cbet 2/10 times, 38 hands.

What do I do? I'm in bad shape vs a better flushdraw and I do expect one of them to turn up with one, but also with a worse one, as well as a bunch of combodraws and BU can have some overpairs. He has only raised a couple of hands so imo he can even have TT or JJ there. Still, I dont think shipping it would TOO bad, right?

Intro post

Hello everybody!

I registered at DC minutes ago and am eager to get something going. I hope that this blog doesnt just reflect the past, but also becomes intrumental for my future as a poker player.

I chose this screen name because it stands for "learn to play" and its to remind me what I'm here for. I dont want to become one of those message board grinders depicted in the video I'll post below :)

My introduction will be a bit vague, I dont expect much reader interest anyways. In future, friendships might even be formed hah, but for now I'll leave it at that:

I'm 23 years old. I have a bachelor's in finance and Im doing a masters in international economic relations. To be honest though, I dont find either very interesting, but I will hold judgement for now as I have just seen the surface for now :) I have been playing poker for a couple of years but compared to some other people, ive made almost no progress at all. There are several reasons for that, all of which under my control, since they are part of my character, and I intend on trying to remedy them. Or at least convince myself that poker cannot be anything more than a hobby for me. I think the main reason is that I dont devote 100% of my attention and efforts to a single thing, ever, because I'm afraid of trying real hard and failing. This way if I fail I can always say that it was cause I didnt really try. It's time this mentality changes and this will probably my number one goal, and becoming a professional poker player will be number 2. I will have my education as a backup, just in case.

Im currently playing 30nl, which is a bit of a setback from 50nl which is my highest achievement and I dropped because I'm not feeling confident. I stopped playing for a few months and it's almost like I've just learned the rules (probably cause i hadnt learned things to the level of unconscious competence, as Jared Tendler explains).

I'm part of a small group of grinders who discuss hands on skype and I've been neglecting this group for too long. They are all better players than me and I can learn from them, its about time i start doing that.

Thats about it for now, I think I'll update this often and I hope it can attract others in similar situations, or at least people who play similar stakes. Maybe even some who play higher, so they'd give a more knowledgable oppinion :P As I said, Im very new to this site and dont really know how things go, maybe thats pretty much always the case, i dunno :)

Best regards!

PS

Here's the video I mentioned. I suspect most of you have seen it numerous times (maybe its even a doing of a DC member for all i know..) but I think its worth another watch :D
