Poker asks you a question....

Every break even and losing stretch is poker asking you a question. Do you love poker? Do you even like it? How will you respond? Will you get better or worse? Adapt or die, there are only two options. I know this is a little over dramatic but it’s true. Poker asks you a question every time you sit down. This is a game of minutes, hours, days, months, and years. It’s not even about the money, the money is completely irrelevant it’s just a scoring system. It’s a scoring system that has a life emotional impact. Which makes it the greatest scoring system ever. Which honestly makes it entirely all about the money at the same time.

Tom Dwan floated JT on a QQx board tonight on high stakes poker in a 5 way limped pot. It made me absolutely giddy with excitement and laughter. How great is a game that can cause that type of emotional reaction by moving chips and watching cards? Pretty fucking great.

I’ve been listening to a ton of Gang Starr lately. Guru is so good but he’s not flashy at all. He’s like that reg you look up on poker table ratings who is just crushing but you never notice him much while you are playing. I realize almost no one will understand that reference but whatever.

In addition I’ve been playing a lot Gucci lately too. Yesterday I put on Gucci and some girl was complaining about “how can you like this, blah blah blah….” I told her it’s fun, just say Gucci one time, just yell it out GUCCI! She wouldn’t do it :(

Wake up ballin go to sleep stuntin

GUCCI!

Great concept. Poker asks you a question, a winning player is defined by how he/she answers the question. I actually learned something new from your post. Congrats ;).
