Donkaments, nl, plo, home game with friends, hiking, etc
Monday I hit the grind hard. Played miniFTOPS #25 the 6-max HA event and never won a pot of any significance, busted shortly after the 2nd break. Put in some hands at 10nl as well, playing about a thousand hands. Had quite the dynamic going with a very loose aggro villain.

He was two tabling 10nl, and after busting one of his 10nl tables, he jumped up to 50nl. I have the roll for 25nl, and I could justify playing 50nl, but I sold 45% quickly to some friends and was able to secure the seat to his left.

Felt good to sit back at a 50nl table (haven't since October) and run goot.
I then decided to play some PLO. Been grinding some 5plo trying to get my feet wet and I'm starting to get a feel for how the game plays. I 6-tabled yesterday and it was fun but I'm still playing too loose from early position and opening too wide on the button and BvB.
Then I played a home game with my friends last night. Ran hot to start the night but ran a few too many 4-barrel bluffs and got coolered twice, ending the evening up only a few bbs. It was fun as I don't get to see my friends often when I'm at school. We play a 72 bounty and I ran a nice 4-barrel on the 2nd to last hand of the night and got a station-y villain to fold QJ on KQ963, slightly over-betting the river. LOLive poker bluffs are fun, especially when you have to show.
Woke up early this morning to go hiking. 3 of my buddies from the poker game, their dog, my dog and I went down to cottonwood canyon and hiked a pretty fun ~4mile loop. My one buddy who is an Army Ranger is back in town after a tour in Afghanistan and it was awesome playing poker, hiking and catching up with him.
Also makes me miss my brother, who is also in the Army and stationed in Germany. I hope to get over there in the next few years to see him and use his place as a hub to travel a bit around Europe.
Poker today was light. I was pretty tired after staying out late last night and waking up early, so I just 4-tabled 10nl for a bit to get Iron Man points and then called it a day. Had an interesting HU match starting a table vs a 'reg' and I ran goot and booked a nice win today. I've got over 7k hands at 10nl now this month and my confidence is high, so once I hit 10k hands, I'm heading back to 25nl.
I'm done rambling now, gl all!
