Day 7 - Heater day

Definitly a heater day which is amusingly the days i tend to sometimes get a bit sloppy. To some extent it happened today too. Fortunately the biggest oops of the day was rewarded with a two outer so i guess it worked out even though my ev graph might disagree. I also messed up in two pots where i should have turned my hand into a bluff to move villain off a weak made hand and win two bigs pot. The good part is that i would never have noticed those spots just a few weeks ago. I would have c/f my hand and been happy with it. So i dont feel to bad about it.

As i rambled about yesterday i feel the big money at lowstakes NL is really coming from the weak tight regs that will constantly keep giving and away and folding their hand post flop. It reminds me a ton of when i started playing limit a long time ago and read ‘small stakes holdem’. The mantra repeated over and over was that the biggest mistakes were not stuff like missing thin value. It was failing to recognize when the pot could be protected. ABC play can you make a winning player. But it wont be even remotely close to the bb/100 numbers proper aggresive play will get you.

Now lets pray for it’ll rain coolers tomorrow so ill get my head out of the clouds.
