FTOPS and Multi-Tabling

What's up Degens?

So, I've wrote in previous entries about how one of my biggest leaks is not being able to multi-table effectively. As soon as I get more than 4 tables fired up, I've noticed a marked increase in the amount of mistakes I make.. Namely:

1. Misclicks. Wow, if I have more than 4 tables, I start misclicking like a muthafucka. I can't tell you how many times I've been preoccupied, look back at a table, and not noticed that someone had already opened the pot, and then I misclick min-3b OOP and then insta get 4b.. Ya that's me. Or I type in 11 bucks instead of 111 bucks or something stupid.

2. Timing Out: Too much going on, and I just tend to accidentally fold hands that should be opened, called, or 3b, etc.

3. Not following the action correctly. One mistake I've been guilty of is glancing back at a table, only seeing my hand, and then just clicking raise call or whatever, but not realizing that someone already opened, or that there were limpers, or just generally not thinking about my position, # of opponents, or SPR enough when there's big pots being played on other tables. Postflop this will really destroy your win rate. If you just blindly cb without looking at the size of the pot or how many opponents there are, you can lose a lot of money because you'll have to b/f more, or you might be ruining your value because the line you take in most scenarios should vary a lot depending on how many opponents there are, and what their tendencies are as well.

So, to alleviate this issue, I decided that while I was playing the FTOPS, I'd move down in stakes and work on multi-tabling a bit. I played anywhere from 6-8 tables on Sunday, mixing in 1 Rush table with the 5-7 other tables, and it worked out pretty well. I ended up winning close to 16 buy ins, but was really happy with how I played overall. A couple of things I did that really helped:

1. Player ID everyone at the table before you start seeing hands. I used to just get on the waitlist and fire up a bunch of tables, while also starting my own table when I was ready to play. But things can get really hectic if you're involved in some big pots right off the bat, especially if you get HU action, and then trying to look up how many tables players are sitting at, while also PTR'ing them at the same time can force you to divert your attention from the tables, and ultimately make more mistakes. So I focused on having everything in place before I saw my first hand, so that when I was in the game, I could just focus on the action and playing the situations optimally.

2. Taking breaks: It's important to have a good understanding your body, and more specifically, realize the indicators that are telling you that you're tired/losing focus. I've gotten much better at that, so I made it a point to sit out of my tables when I could tell that I was losing interest and focus. The games will always be there, and there's always fish sitting, so taking a break and recharging your batteries helps ensure that you'll put in more quality sessions, tilt less, and profit more obv.

I did well in cash games, but finished just outside of the money in the FTOPS. Lost a flip for ~40k'ish, so gg me.

Thought this hand worked out well for me. BB is pretty tight so far, so on the flop my plan was actually just to c/f since I don't plan on taking it down very much against a nit, and there's not very many good turns for me to barrel, especially given that there's not that much money behind. I guess if I got creative with my bet sizing it could be possible, but this particular table was really soft, and he seemed to be the only guy at the table who had an idea of what was going on, so I was more concerned with just keeping some chips and giving myself to 2x against the fish and build my stack that way. Once it checks through, it's tough for him to really have anything though. Almost all hands that are worth a damn would've bet. Turn I like c/r'ing much more than just leading out and getting him to fold because it keeps his range wider when I check, and also having the blockers is obviously nice. Also, if I bet and get called, it's really awkward on a lot of rivers, and I don't really want to turn a one street bluff into a two street bluff here. Plus, I have some equity when I get called, so imo c/r'ing is definitely the best play. Additionally I think after I check twice most people will almost always stab, esp given that the turn should be a scare card for most people. Plus even if he did make 2pr, I'm not sure that he's courageous enough to call that off given that I shouldn't be bluffing there too much.

Generally 3b'ing min OOP is pretty terrible, but here's a spot where I'll do it occasionally. Villain is a pretty big maniac, so here I'm basically just reopening the action for him to 4b me light and allow me to 5b get the money in quick etc. Plus even if they both call, it's not the worst thing in the world because after all.. I still have a good hand that's pretty nutty/polar and plays fine OOP etc.

iOS jailbreaking is the process of removing software restrictions imposed by iOS, Apple Inc's operating system, on its devices including the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and second-generation Apple TV. Jailbreaking is done by using software exploits, and it permits root access to the iOS file system and manager, so applications, extensions, and themes unavailable through the official Apple App Store can be downloaded. now you can get Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak to enjoy all new features of iPhone.

I think multi-tabling is a tell. Numerous adversaries on various tables for the most part play top 10-15% hands; I'll know to treat them Buy an Essay Online uniquely in contrast to different players and a MTP tag goes in their notes. Tragically, most locales I can play on don't have a player seek capacity to perceive what number of tables somebody is on.
