Student of the game

The D is for declaration, as I am declaring today as a commitment to myself to be a much better poker player. I've played for many years but never really taken it so seriously as to set a plan with defined goals to achieve the level that I aspire to achieve. I guess this is my way to make a public statement to myself and the community that would hold me accountable for my statements and actions. I'm not making any assumptions this time around about my abilities; that is, I'm not going to assume how good I am, I'm simply going to be a "student" again, start from the bottom and move up as fast as I can. As the Zen saying goes, "I shall empty my cup...and allow it to be filled". I hope to be involved in helping others as well, as I'm sure that I'll be helping myself at the same time. If you should come across this blog, please feel free to introduce yourself, I would love to befriend anyone that can relate or share their experiences as they embark on the same journey. We can all use a little encouragement through this tough journey...
