Stopping the bleeding
Hi, I'm a finnish omaha player, I've been playing omaha maby like 30-40k hands during last 6 months and most of the time I've been losing, doing BE with rakeback or winnig some money. I've been aware of my bad play for some time now, but as my main income is not coming from poker and very long breaks beetween sessions, I didn't really care... untill now. This is due to the fact that as I've had the time and energy to study the basics, I am not afraid to play omaha because I know that I will beat the games if I just keep playing the way I do and keep learning more. I just hope that the swings won't affect my motivation, which right now is even higher than it ever was playing holdem.
Coming from NLHE background my biggest leaks so far have been being overly aggressive and making way too thin bluffcatching. Even at the start of the month I was doing that untill i hit the -10BI point, after that I thought I really need to stop this If I really wanted to play this game seriously and BAM I've stopped rocketing down in NONSD and allin EV, hell I've won some money too even when not running that good. Oh, shit I need to hurry to barber... I keep you posted.
