Things are looking up, and down...

So I've been casually making my way through some volume and I'm running hotter than the sun atm so figured now would be a good time to make a post. Had a few issues settling into online poker but now it's coming together OK... I started out (over 1700 hands) as a 38/32/10 with a WTSD% of 30.9 and W$SD% of 35.7 and i was stuck -$62.95 at 10NL. Over the last 3000 hands my stats are 25/22/8 WTSD% 28 and W$SD%46.1 and I won $82.18 netting me $26.66 over 4884 hands.

One interesting point of note. I made a post that my redline and my blueline were moving very quickly away from one another with my blueline being crazy low and my redline ridiculously high. It seems my adjustments are creating a more typical graph where my blueline is skyrocketing and my redline is starting to plateau/decline.

Hopefully I can get both lines moving in the same direction soon.

P.S. I do realise my sample size is really just a speck of what is required for anything accurate but it's my whole online 'career' for now lol

Online poker is like sex...

... you think you're going to be awesome at it until you try it out.

In case you didn't know, live poker is really easy for anyone with a brain. Having a brain, poker seemed like a good idea 4 years ago. Still playing regularly I decided to quit the wiffle stakes of live poker to try to learn the harder version... and it's killing my life.

Adjusting to these nitty uNL players is turning out to be a lot harder than I thought and I really cannot figure out why. Maybe its because I've only played 2k hands and I'm just the next guy waiting to turn my limited first deposit of $300 into enough money to donk off and become a sensation, or maybe it's just that with stats of 38/31/10 I'm about as skilled as Alan Meltzer and should just give up on life right now...

Honestly though, when you're used to winning at 200nl live, losing at all at 10NL sucks donkey dick so I'm doing this blog to get a dialog going about my play and try to improve through you other DC members. Realistically, it should just help curve my feelings about how bad I used to be when I read this crap in 6+months.

First question for you crazy kids to get some form of constructive response hopefully:

How do you construct your preflop range from each position to develop the overall key stats to build off of when starting out in the micros?
