What Baluga said
I was going through a losing streak which started with just run bad, but developed pretty quickly into play bad unfortunately. Over the last two or three sessions I've really turned it around by trying to focus on the basics and in particular something BalugaWhale said in a microstakes forum post:
The key points I have to hammer are DONT PAY OFF and GET VALUE. That it!!
So that's the thing. I'm trying to remember not to pay people off when they have a big hand but conversely to get them to pay me off when I have a big hand. At the micros, I'm becoming more and more convinced that paying off is the most common fault of all. So if you have a big hand, a lot of the time you will get them to play for stacks with something like middle pair when they raised preflop with A rag offsuit.
I would get all over-excited sitting at a tableful of fish, and my keenness to get into a hand with them would lead to me making big errors postflop and playing for stacks in situations where fish or no fish I simply didn't have a strong enough hand. This is what I'm trying to avoid.
Here's a hand which happened at my table today which illustrates both mistakes. I folded p/f, but the CO pays off in a situation where he really can't possibly have the best hand and even with such a friendly and compliant adversary, the BTN manages to avoid getting anything like the value he should from his trips:

Bet Until you get raised and then fold. Thats the key to beating the micros

Yeah, that's often true. Certainly if a passive player raises you on the turn you're toast unless you have the nuts. However, I see a lot of crazy people playing 2NL. There are aggro maniacs at 2NL too.
