DJ Cautious On Stars: The Worst Player In The World

Havent been playing much online this week due to the fact I have been playing live pactically every day in London. With me I feel sometimes that when I play alot live and then I go back to playing online I find it hard to adjust and make a lot of mistakes so when I am playing live I try not to mix it with playing online at the same time.

I did well live playing PLO (Its so weird that I find it so difficult to play NLH these days… 4 cards give me so much of a buzz than 2). I play 5/10 live and in London we play pretty deep. I normally buying for 150 BB with 1 bullet. I ran it up to around 6000 pounds before giving half back towards the end of the week. But up 3000 for the week is ok for me live. I made a few mistakes in a few spots but I was happy that I mentained my cool and played well for the most part.

Today I played online on stars trying to use some of my live winnings to freeroll and work on my 17k prop bet. (Last week I got it down to 15K on my heater last week.) Obviously I have been getting stick for me taking shots at bigger games to get the bet down instead of grinding it down. Like I explained before alot of the time I am freerolling from winnings on either the Euro sites I play on or my Live winnings.

Well I jump into a 20-50BB 5/10 plo game with the max $500 buyin and lose it fairly quickly. No excuse or bad beat story just me playing bad. I load up another $500 and jump back into the game. (This was my last bullet as I have set my deposit limit to only 1k a day). I get down to $220 when I get really lucky to triple up (runner runner trips).

I then parlay 660 into 1400 and then jump into a juicy 10/20 plo game 40-100BB putting the whole $1400 on the line (I know you lot are going to say this kid is nuts but I was just feeling it and also as I felt I was freerolling off my live winnings and me losing 1k at the point was not going to tilt me as I cant deposit anyway and I would still be up for the week I said F it lets do this)….

The tournement player Jason Mercier was also in the game and I was like wow… I am playing with a dude who was in High Stakes Poker. Also on the 5/10 table I was playing with Andrew Robell (Good 2 CU).

I played well I think on this table and managed to parlay 1400 into 4600k.

Luck really been good to me over the last 2 weeks and I know probably everyone will slate me for my no bankroll consideration and my crazy antics but I think its much better to play higher than your roll sometimes when you are running good so at least if I lose it aint too bad as Im already up for the week. If it was a case I was playing higher to recoup all my loses then it would be bad. Also watching alot of the videos and playing regularly has really helped my game..

And I know I will now probably go on a 2 month losing streak at least I can document that on May 9th I ran good…

Next week I am going to go back to playing more online before heading to Poker Stars UKIPT Live event in Nottingham where I will donk off my money in the tourney and go play cash games
