Nothing to say, but blogging anyway
I really don’t have anything meaningful to say, but posting on a blog is kinda like working out – The longer you go without doing it, the harder it is to get started again.
1) On my last post, I was basically busto..down to my last $15 or something. I stopped playing FTP and started using my Stars account for the first time in months. Been hitting the $5 DoNs and the 3.4s. Had it up to $152 before I had a rough night on Tuesday.
2) Speaking of Tuesday night. It was really nuts. At first I thought I was running bad. Then I took a break and reviewed some hands – I was just playing bad. No idea why, though. I swear, sometimes when I start really trying to “think†I wind up thinking the wrong things. Eh..it’s a marathon, not a race.
3) I swear that the games are just softer on Stars. I was playing FTP for the rakeback. Maybe there are more bad players that don’t know about rakeback on Stars. Sad, though, that I’ve een trying to hard this past year to learn this thing and the only peeps I can beat are clueless peeps who don’t even know about rakeback.
4) I’ve been on info-overload as far as videos and reading. I’ve been reviewing my play more. I feel like I’m right on the edge of making this HUGE leap forward, but I think the answer is in my own play rather than acquiring new knowledge. I think a few coaching sessions is going to be the best option to get past it.
Anyway, I’m going to go play some on Stars. Waiting for my study partner to come online to talk shop. We usualy hook up on Wednesdays but we’re doing it tonight because I took my wife to see Wicked last night.
Oh yeah – last comment. 5) I’m not someone who really puts a focus on being all cultured or whatever…. BUT I took my wife to see Wicked @ the Peace Center here in Greenville last night. It is EXTREMELY cool. Once you get past the fact that it’s a musical or whatever but the music doesn’t really have a beat (lol) it’s just extremely cool. If ya don’t know, it’s the untold story of the witch in The Wizard of Oz. I highly recommend it.
