I Refuse To Say Variance
Ok, so, I feel like Variance is when good players make good plays but the cards cause swings. I’m not a good player yet, so, I DO expect to win but the downswings are just downswings. “Bad beats†don’t exist – there are only random sequences of cards. It’s crazy-easy to NOT tilt with this mindset.
But today..arrrgh. Just…my dern. I’m still looking through my HH to figure it out. I won’t accept that my AK lost to J4..AQ to 76, etc. There were decisions leading up to those decisions that caused me to be in those positions where my tourney life was on the line.
44 STTs – only 1 frigging 1st place. <— this has to be a lack of focus because this is normally a strength.
11 MTTs – only 1 ITM. I need to quit playing big MTTs. I’m on vacation though so thought I’d try to spike one so I won’t have to go back to work on Monday ..j/k :)
Tomorrow is going to be a GREAT day. A HAPPY day. Happy = Merry. Got it!
