Back in 2009 I decided to purchase a Blackberry 8900 smartphone. I don’t really needed it because I’m not a businessman (yet) and I’m OK without reading my mails constantly. This is my very first smartphone BTW. I’m still using this device, and due to the 2-year warranty I’ve just got a brand new one (of the same model) b/c sim slot of the old one broke.

To be honest I expected much more from this device. No 3G, ok I knew it when I purchased. But even if I’m in a Hot-Spot zone, browser loads pages very slowly. I installed Opera Mini, which is good b/c it’s using data compression so the browsing experience increased a bit but still a pain. So one big leak IMO is the very limited browsing capability.Other big leak is, it’s hard to find applications for it (I mean useful applications), you can download them from Blackberry Application World but all the good apps cost you money – it’s hard to find them on the internet free. (for Android, it’s much easier to get apps – there are plenty of apps out there for Android even for free, while very few of them for Blackberry) I’m not subscribed to the Blackberry enterprise service, b/c I don’t need to read e-mails constantly. Many ppl say the real point in having a BB is the service itself – my question is – would there be any more applications, would there be any better browsing experience if I subscribed? The answer is clearly no IMO.

So all in all, I own a Blackberry, and I’m not satisfied with it at all. Simply too much money for this kind of a limited device. I’m seriously considering buying an iPhone4 instead.

All thoughts on this topic welcome - I post this to the forum I appreciate your opinion guys.

OK, I have 10 weeks until my exams now. As poker is very time consuming, I give up playing  for a wile and prepare for my exams. In this period, I will regularly read strategic articles and forums so hopefully I'll return w/ some better skills. I have to finish my education, this is top priority now. BTW I think I'll play better if I'm no more under pressure b/c I know I should study instead of playing. I take out my roll from Pacific so  tempation won't be there.

I have to find the way out!

After work I wanted to relax a bit and went to a nearby cardroom for some cashgame, I planned to play one hour only. I was playing microstakes ( equivalent to NL50 which is a relatively small stake considering it was a live CG) full ring.

I managed to win half-a-buyin and after the planned one hour I left scene. These live games are still very soft :)

There was one memorable hand - source of my profit - against a big fish whom I noticed and targeted after the first couple of hands.

My read was on him he always donkbets into more people on blank flops - even with nothing. I played this hand according to this read.

There was an 8-way limped pot (funny, he?) my hand was 23s.

Flop came 239 rainbow - the fish bet, everyone folded - I reraised he called. Turn was a 4 - he bet again 1/3 pot I raised all-in he called. I moved All-In because I only had a pot-sized stack left and there were 2 diamonds out there and I didnt want him to outdraw me. River was a non-flush Ace.

Fish showed 96o. Eaaaaaasy money:)

Now I have to study for my exams - I dont feel like :/
