Hillbilly swede improve his game

Okey, then December was over and its time for party!

Here is my graph for December (started 17th Dec) so its a good amount of hands for this short time imo.

Since I posted on DC that I was doubting myself I have been in an extreme good run. I’m up like 18 buy ins in the last 3000 hands, that’s awesome!

I think I have lost only 2 flips and hit with AK vs KK and so on, its so fun playing poker now. Atm I have got 20 buy ins for NL20, and I think I will set of like 3 or 4 buy ins to take a shot up there. I have played NL20 before on MicroGaming network so that should be fun to get up there again.

I know I have said before that I should wait with NL20 until I have got 25 buyins for it, but as I run now I think I will give it a chance. And if I loose these 3-4 buyins I set of I will play NL10 again, and then I think I can reach NL20 still before January is over.

But now its late here in Sweden and I will go to bed.

Alright, then the Christmas is over for this year. I was visiting my grandmother almost the whole 24th, and my mom in the evening. That was nice as always, and now we can look forward to the new year.

And in the poker life its only happy faces. I’ve been up 6 buy ins since I wrote last time, no easy 6 buy ins, I had to work hard to get them. That means I’m 26 buy ins from next level. So if my badrun now is over I maybe can do it before January is over, I hope so. If I run really good it could be much more earlier. I’m really not afraid to get up to 20NL because I have been there before, and the players there is really bad to, or aleast they were on my last network.

I think I will play tonight, in two or three ours something, when everybody else have gone to bed so nothing can disturb me when I’m playing.

As I promised yesterday I should write down my goals for 2010. Atm I think its impossible to write any concrete goals because I don’t know what I’m doing in even a month yet. Probably I will improve my grades, but maybe I could get a job or something like that.

I’ve deposited €200 on Potraiser 17th Dec, but I’m actually down at NL10, when I started I got a really hard downswing right in my face and was down like 9 buy ins, then I got a heater and was up 8 buy ins in an hour, and after that I have been up and down and don’t really played my a-game. Have tried to apply the thing I’ve seen in micro videos here and it has worked very well when I wasn’t up against a cooler and so on.

So, my goals will be that I before January is over be rolled and try to become a regular at NL20. I will have €500 when I move up, that means 25 buy ins. Then I will have €1500 for NL50, and when I’m up on NL50 I think I have to play at least 100k hands there. When I have reached €2k in the bankroll I will cash out €400 to buy a new computer, then I will play to get a roll for NL100, and if I don’t run bad in like 4-5 months I think I can maybe get a roll for NL100 before December 31st 2010. That will be my goal.

If my roll goes under €100 I will go down to NL4, because I would never more do a deposit at this site.

Well, like the URL referents to, I’m a “hilly billy swede” who lives in a small village in the south east part of Sweden with only 5k inhabitants. I’m also a large fan of the first division hockey team Nybro Vikings, I try to see all the games that I possible can.

But this blog should be about me and my improving of my poker game, and probably in some spots about Vikings cause it really is my heart.

Well, I think I take in a later post what my goals for 2010 is, atm I haven’t figured them out yet. But I think it would be like playing in 3-4 stakes higher, and that will means that my goals should be something around being a regular of the No Limit €100 games.

Right now I’m down on the bottom, or almost the bottom, when I try to improve my game on NL10. I think I am running really bad atm, I have got my money in as a dog mostly of the times, but I have got over pair, second-best set, flush versus higher flush and so on so I’m down around 2 buy ins in my first week of this bankroll. I started with €200 in my roll the 17th December and will try to make it €1000 before February is over as a first step.

Hand 1
I really don’t think I can get away from this like any time. They will probably get it in with anything better then TT, flush draws, sets and so on. I think I’m a favourite often enough to get it in and over shove the short stack on my left.

Hand 2
This one I think I play really bad on the turn. Pre flop and flop is probably standard against like 100% of all players in world, maybe bet 10c more on the flop against a rich calling station. I think also its standard to c-bet any turn, but when he check-raise us with that small amount he just want us to think we got odds to call or shove. I was a little bit tilted atm I think, and just shoved it in and I understood already before he called my shove that I probably always is a large dog here. And I was drawing dead on the river and gave away like €6 there to him.
