The hard work begins (and should have begun already)

Yesterday I played nearly 4k hands which is a lot for me. For 3.5k of those hands I played really good poker and for 500 of them I did not.

It was pretty tilting to have a +12 buy in days turn to a +6 buy in day in a matter of of a few hands. Two buy ins were flips but two were bad play. This needs to be removed from my game. I make too many hero calls. Sometimes they are necessary but other times they simply are not.

It’s quite annoying as I feel I am close to being able to play long sessions with my A game in tact. To be successful at 200nl and above I must iron out wrinkles and be more disciplined. I’m a decent player when I play well so I must aim to play this as much as possible.

This month has been an exercise in control. I’ve been pretty much break-even for 15k hands but it’s fine. I’m still winning at roughly 3BB/100 and have a lot to come in RB and bonuses. I’ve already played 30k hands and hopefully will put in another 15k or so by the end of the month. If I hit 45k by 31st May I am going to go to the International Club and play a live tourney for a bit of a break and laugh. that’s only if I hit 45k though….

ps – I’m also on Twitter now. Really don’t know why but thought I may as well, it’s fun to follow people. Add me! @Grec0_
