Successful beginning to March
Woke up today at 6:30, got some coffee and grinded for 5 and a half hours. Got in 4000 hands, then went to do some research for a few hours. Got some groceries, got back to my house, then tried to play 4000 more hands. Only got in 1000 before I started getting groggy. Apparently 6 hours of sleep isn’t enough for me. I’ve come to the conclusion that I play my best by far in the morning, and as the day goes on my play begins to deteriorate. So I decided to stop playing, so I could grab 8 hours of sleep and still wake up at 6 tomorrow. Don’t have to do psychology stuff until 5, so I might be able to grind out most of my 8000 hands before my grogginess even sets in. 8000 hands now takes me about 10 hours, plus breaking for eating and whatnot adds another hour. Lots and lots of grinding. But much easier now that I’m not making big mistakes that tilt me. I made one mistake today where I called a shove against a shorty in a 3bet pot that was probably incorrect, but it worked out and I caught my set. Results eh.
Made a lil over 500 bux today, so I’m doing pretty damn well over the past 3 days. I’m feeling extremely confident in my game, and feel like I have an edge over every player at .50/1. Obv winning boosts confidence, but I can look at every session and say hey, I played every hand pretty damn well. Didn’t make any mistakes that cost me a stack. Maybe made a few small blunders here and there, but I played pretty well. I definitely couldn’t do that 3 weeks ago. Watched a video today, 9 to go. New goal is to watch 10 videos a week. I think I surpassed that last week – probably watched 10-15. Poker is made up of 2 parts, like anything else. Theres the practice of getting in a bunch of hands, which is necessary. But theres also the need to study the game, hear what others have to say, and look at things from a different perspective. Combining both of these is what allows for top-notch play.
Full tilt finally approved my check withdrawals, so those should be here within a few weeks. I’m gonna request 2 more check withdrawals once I’m able to, running low on finances and need to pay for my health insurance, car insurance, rent, a new computer, and taxes. Living on my own FTL. but winning lots of money FTW. Can’t wait till it gets here, though the first round of checks will be instantly sent to the IRS. They’ll be getting lots of me winnings :/
Well I’m off to bed.
