playing a game for a living = +EV

So I had another superb day in the poker realm. Starting playing aruond 3:00 after getting my oil change and setting up my iphone I just bought. Fired up the 750,000 guarantee at 5:00 while 4 tabling rush poker, using 43,000 full tilt points to buy in. I made it pretty deep – got about 250th out of over 5000 people. Cashed out 450 dollars. Final hand I had QQ on the button, 3bet an aggro guy who raises in early position from 4000 to 11,000. He insta min 4bets to 17,000 which was very scary, but I decided to ship in my remaining 50,000 and ran in to AA. Oh well. While I was playing the guarantee, I made about 800 playing 100NL rush poker. so up 1250 on the day. Not too shabby.

This month I made a bit over 7000. Almost at my goal of 8000. I’m very happy about this. I made tons of mistakes early in the month, and still managed to make over 7000 dollars. Lovin life. And also lovin the iphone I just bought. Can play pandora in my car, which is amazing, since I have approximately no music. I lost all my music at some point when I had to reformat my computer, and since then have not built a collection back up. Now I can stream pandora and not listen to Columbia’s crappy radio stations anymore. w00t.

Tomorrow, its a new month. Time to continue to improve my game, grind out a bunch of hands, and work on getting a solid routine going. My sleep habits have drastically improved over the past week, and I feel like I have more energy. Time to work fruits and veggies into my diet, and exercise several days a week. Gonna post my results this month here, then get to bed. Got in 150,000 hands. Almost 3800 from playing, plus 450 from the tournament win, plus another 300 from a session I played at a friends house that HEM didn’t pick up. HEM also randomly didn’t pick up a few other sessions, but I’ll count those as break even, because I’m not sure how they went. Made right around 2400 from rakeback, and pretty sure I’m going to get another 350 dollars from the rakerace. This all adds up to about 7200 dollars on the month. Yay. Dammit I can’t figure out how to upload images, I guess I’ll figure that out tomorrow, too tired.
