Turning the Tide

What's up guys.. not much positive to say regarding life at the moment, so on with the poker. July was pretty meh.. I started the month strong but got busy with moving and life and didnt play much the 2nd half of the month. When I finally did play the last few days of the month, things went really bad at 200 and 400 and I wiped out much of my month's profits :(

Lately it's been a trend for me to get beat down pretty hard whenever I take a shot at a 400nl game.. it's become rather scary actually. I have lost 3+ bi within the first 100 hands about 4 times in a row when trying to play mids, usually in pretty standard spots, but there were one or two stacks where I was perhaps overcompensating for the stakes by playing too aggro. I've lost about $3k in my last 500 hands of mids, it has been pretty disgusting and dispiriting, as things have never gone well for me at 400. The highest success I feel the need to attain in poker is being a 400 and 600nl reg. I could live as comfortable a life as I'd ever ask for under those circumstances, but it has constantly eluded me. I never can build up a huge roll to really commit to playing mids even if I lose a bunch to start.

With things being rough for me lately, and my shots at mids going so bad, I am going to take it easy this month and try to stick to one game and one game only - 100 full ring! I have put $1k in escrow on the conditions that I can only play on FTP the rest of this month, and only 100 full ring (rush or regular). If you catch me playing anything else, alert user 'hurt' from DC, he will get the $1k and maybe tip you :)

I have crushed 100fr pretty hard so far this year so it will be interesting to see the results of playing and focusing solely upon it for a month. I seem to never ever run good at FTP for the last 2+ years, maybe I can break the mold this month. I miss the easy games and rungood I seem to have on Cake, but I have quit playing there because the 100 and 200 fr have really dried up, plus there is a big scandal going down about their lack of security and encryption. I withdrew most of my money there, so expect to see me at FTP for the forseeable future.
