Whatâ€™s up guys, April has come to an end and we are already 1/4 through 2010 :o It feels like it was just New Years and a fresh year, and now Iâ€™m already feeling some pressure to ramp up my success this year.
Here is my sad graph for April â€“ it was a pretty frustrating month where I just couldnâ€™t get it going and ran crappy on all-in EV.
On the bright side, I put in the 80 hrs I set as a target for the month, about 2/3 of the time NL and 1/3 of the time PLO. I ran 1.68bb/100 at NL cash games and 7.67bb/100 at PLO. With rakeback etc I had about a $3k profit month which is basically breaking even on life for me :(
I really need to start shipping 10k months, so I am upping the ante again this month. I made another prop bet with SubV that I have to play 100 hrs in May or I give him $1k, he has to play 100k hands or he gives me $1k. I am going to play a lot less 100nl and 50plo than last month and more 200nl and 100plo.. hopefully this combined with the added hours will put together a solid month!
In non-poker news, I started my serious diet about a week ago. I went grocery shopping and bought all healthy stuff and have been doing well sticking to it. One night I cheated and went out to Wendyâ€™s at about 1am, I got a double burger and frosty but was unable to make it halfway through the â€˜mealâ€™ before I started to feel sick and also ashamed. I ended up throwing most of it away and wonâ€™t make that mistake again!
In addition to diet, Iâ€™ve started the following supplements regimen -
Glucosamine chondroitin with MSM (joint strength and health)
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
Omega 3-6-9 fish oil combo
Calcium magnesium citrate (bone, hair, and nail health)
Right now I am about 5â€™11", 195 lbs with 17% body fat. Goal is 180 lbs with 10-12% body fat. Hopefully diet + supplements + exercise 3-4 times a week will have me looking and feeling better before I know it!
