Some current grinding music....
I listen to music when I’m playing poker. It helps me focus and get in the zone. I listen to a lot of crazy oddball stuff though. I mean, I can run everything from classical to death metal and pop songs on the side. I’m going to ship some of my current favorite grind music in this blog. If you’re not open minded and you listen to ONLY rock or ONLY hip hop/rap (you know who you are because there’s a lot of you out there, gangsta bling bling hip hop delusional ballainyerownheadbutnotinreallife donks swinging from the golden nuthairs of Jay-Z and Lil Wayne or whoever else is the nut nut these days and it’s not even that I don’t enjoy some of that stuff because I do but daaaaaaaaamn dude you ain’t hood) then you need to GTFO of my blog right now. In this blog we’re straight butterin’ with an open mind. So in the immortal words of that big rooster lookin’ dude that could never get any…. “Link us man, link us….†:)
7 Seconds – Clenched Fists, Black Eyes
Purcell – Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary (this was also remade and is the theme of A Clockwork Orange, both versions are awesome)
Megadeth – Take No Prisoners
Art Brut – DC Comics and Chocolate Milkshake
At the Drive-In – Star Slight
Between the Buried and Me – Selkies: The Endless Obsession
Eluvium – Perfect Neglect in a Field of Statues
Gary Numan – Down in the Park
Hadouken – That Boy That Girl
Mogwai – Take Me Somewhere Nice
Murder City Devils – Rum to Whiskey
My Bloody Valentine – When You Sleep
Red Sparowes – This Fear is Excruciating, but Therein Lies the Answer
Strung Out – Her Name in Blood
Rad Soundtrack – Break the Ice
That’s one zany stack of songs. A lil’ somethin’ for everyone. There’s obv way more good stuff I can’t think of and I don’t want to overload the jam so, if you like something/want more/similar bands lmk. If you hate it and the hip hop stuff I said above offends you, sounds like you’re GUILTY AS CHARGED!
j/k j/k (but seriously….)
