Battling with the DC 50K Micro Hand Challenge

Okay so yesterday I was reading up on the 50K hands challenge threads and really felt that I was missing out. So I fired off an email to the event organiser itsatrap to see whether or not it was too late to still sign up. Lucky for me, it seemed I could still give it a shot, even though starting 6 days late. 

The time that I had today for poker I spend preparing for the challenge. I opted for creating a new poker account so that I will have the right bankroll and a clean and mean database. I then spent some time on developing a proper game plan. Given the time scale available,  that I only play like an hour each day and that I have to produce a good win rate for 50k hands, I decided that I will be playing 8 to 10 tables and 4 tables when taking a shot for moving up. This brings us to the bankroll management side of things. 

My number one priority will be completing the 50k hands. So I must not bust, but at the same time, I have to produce $$$ results so an aggressive approach is required. Therefore I will focus on moving up at 12 BIs and moving down at 10 BIs. I suspect that I will be doing that tonnes! Hopefully it will pay off.

My second priority will be, playing mentally stable. As the results will be limited to 50K hands, it will be important that those hands are playing in the "zone". So at the slightest signs of tilt I will have to quit, take a break, and regather myself. 

My third priority will focus on reducing variance as it will be clear that high variance plays won't even out over just 50k hands. This means that I will have to play a bit more conservative and may have to make tighter folds if required.
