March Madness

Got off to an amazing start so far, absolutely crushing NL5 Rush (though the run-bad continues at NL10) and even a quick splash at NL25 Rush to see how different it plays, but after 50 hands at NL25 I realised how tired I was and decided I had better stop while I was ahead.

Feb Wrap-Up

Started off well, then I contracted a disease called autopilot syndrome and "broke" my game.  Moved down to NL5 to fix some things and regain confidence and I'm actually really happy it happened, played a ton of hands and learned a ton about what I was doing post-flop as a result.

Spent my FTPs on a Step 3 ticket, ran like my usual SNG results and only ended up $8.64 from the $24+2 Matrix I played. Thankfully I had a few Steps tickets left over from a small grind I did a while ago, got one of those up to Step 3 and cashed for $38.88 in a second $24+2 Matrix. A nice little bonus for last day of the month.

Bottomline for the month:
Hands: 61486 Total (NL5: 44053, NL10: 17433)
Winrate: 2.84bb/100 (NL5: 6.22, NL10: -5.70)
Rakepaid: $209.72 (So approximately $56.62 rake-back)
Profit/Loss: +$37.60 (NL5: $136.97, NL10: -$99.37)

NL10 Graph (Mostly from start of month, and a session later in the month when BR was healthy again, which also went poor)

Looking forward to this month!

Bankroll stands at $446.80 (Found out I like Badugi and Razz, so I'm "paying to learn" those on the side)

Quick update..

Broke my game (note: not my bankroll, dont worry) and dropped down to NL5 Rush while I regain confidence and fix some leaks.  Playing great lately, learned a ton, and putting in huge sessions (~8k hands last 2 days each).  Will do a monthly wrap up at the start of March!

Fun hand of the day...

Below EV and not minding at all.

Great start to the month, 4.2k hands at 11.48bb/100 -- EV is 17.7bb/100!  So the run-good continues even if my All-In EV isn't going so well, enough sets and the like to keep me afloat.  Booked 4.8BI profit so far (EV would be 7.5BI) and prepared for Gold Ironman grind this month, making sure to get over 125 points per day for the first few days just to make it easier later in the month.

January Wrap-up

Well, I got to Bronze Ironman, move up to NL10 and started playing Rush instead of normal full-ring.  All up 23,784 hands and $91.23 rake paid, and now with Ironman secured I have a ton more motivation to keep up at least that much volume (at least 30k really, I didn't play for the first week in January).

Bottom-Line:
Stakes: NL5 13817 hands, NL10 1511 hands, NL5Rush 2611 hands, NL10Rush 5837 hands.
Time: 59.62 hours
Hands Total: 23784
Win Rate: 3.69bb/100 (NL5 2.58, NL10 -8.31, NL5R 7.78, NL10R 7.19)
Profit: $57.85
$/Hour: $0.97
Rake: $91.23 ($24.63 RB)
Stats: 11.9/7.3/2.0 - WTSD: 25.4%, W$SD: 53.6%

Rush is definitely proving to be my comfortable grind game, so for now I'm going to play only Rush.

Bit of an update

Hey all (If i have any readers?), been too rude/lazy to keep up the near-daily updating so I'll switch to weekly for now I think.
Just finished a short session 2-tabling NL10 Rush, gotta say I'm running like god last 2 sessions which is nice when you're just moving up... Decided I'm going to stick with Rush NLFR because I just find it so easy to motivate myself to keep playing, and no need to table select or fiddle with a billion windows.  Still early days yet but I'm off to a great start, 7.78bb/100 (2.6k hands) for NL5R, and 16.14bb/100 (3k hands) at NL10R.  As I said running like god at NL10R but I'm also pretty confident my WR will stay decent when I stop flopping sets and straights all the time.
Also, new biggest pot won happened last session :)

Gotta take the good with the bad...

Excellent session today after a few days of 2.2% Set flopping skills (expectation would be 11.8%, it was killing me), quickly ran KK into AA twice for 75-100bb each time but for once my mental focus didn't break and I ended up booking a 344bb profit over 994 hands -- with a profitable non-showdown winnings no less!

Still on course for Bronze Ironman, probably make a go of Silver next month given how cruisy this has been.

Got in a few hands today, easing into an 8-table PlaceMint layout, morning session was great aside from losing a couple big pots to ridiculous holdings but I still booked a nice profit. Afternoon session (which is a new day in FTP's timezone, since I am +11GMT) was absolutely horrible, but I'm extremely pleased with how I handled it mentally.  The tables become pretty awful at about 2am FTP time (6pm here) so I think in future I'm going to wake up a bit earlier and take afternoons/evenings off or atleast stick to study/review during those hours.

Still very happy with how my stats are turning out, and very pleased with the red line!

Things are looking up.

Well, since watching DJ Sensei's "Fullring NL Dojo" series things are on the up and up.  Albeit an insignificant sample size still, it's looking quite promising.

Since then my stats are at: 15.0/9.9/2.4 with 2.56 Aggression and 2.81 PF Positional Awareness... which is apparently good.

From approximately hand ~2700 is where I changed a whole bunch of my ranges and post-flop tendencies. Also very happy to see my non-showdown winnings basically level out, which I always thought wasn't possible at fullring. Also going for Bronze Ironman this month, 5 days down, 15 to go.

Think I'm doing something right...

So, the other day I had a horrible session and declared that I would find the main problems in my game... thankfully a friend referred me to DJ Sensei's Fullring NL Dojo and O-M-G I think something actually sunk into my brain!  After watching all 7 episodes back to back I slept, and today I'm playing entirely differently (and its more enjoyable, and not nitty(!))... We shall see how long I continue to feel this way, but I do feel that I've snapped out of some sort of range-atrophy/risk-aversion mental state which was leading me to fold the (probable) best hand fairly often I'd guess.

NL5 Graph so far...User Uploaded Image

Around hand ~2650 is where I went back to the drawing board and watched DJ Sensei's series.

EDIT: THANKS DJ SENSEI :)
