DC Labs Announcement: New blogs editor!
We've been working on this for a while, and it's seeing the light of day now: we've converted our old, textile-based blog editor into a WYSIWYG editor powered by WYSIHAT. We've hacked a TON of code into the project, doing things that companies like 37signals don't have much of a need for (ability to embed youtube/vimeo clips, image uploading, hand converter embeds and suit codes).
We've also pretty extensively tested this in the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE8 and IE7. IE7 will be the least compliant but should work -- it's a pretty old browser so if you can you really should be updating, but we've tried to make the code for the editor as backwards-compatible as we could. If the browser you're using is reasonably standards compliant, things should work.
That said, pleasseeeeeeeeeeeeeee post any bugs you have in the forums. We're sure there will be some and we'll be keeping an eye on the threads to figure out what is a bug we can fix and what is a bug with browsers/etc. that is impossible to fix (there are definitely going to be some of those - we've learned that WYSIWYG editors are a HUGE PAIN to build cross-compatibility for).

That's great, just yesterday I was thinking about including some pics in my next blog posts...so my question now is how do I upload stuff? Good job, Rob.

Just click the "image" button when you make a new post (it's the window icon to the left of the youtube icon) and go "choose file" and insert image.
