PLO Diaries

Poker-wise, I got back into playing poker a decent amount whenever I had some down time. I put in about 22.5k hands of PLO overall, about 13.5k hands of which were HUPLO. I finished up for the month with some GIGANTIC swings. On my goals list is to start working on better donkbetting strategies from the BB to increase my non-SD winnings in some spots and make myself a bit harder to play against overall.

In training, bike season has started up and I helped Kate score an excellent deal on a new road bike, so we’re going to be increasing the miles soon. I haven’t run more than 6mi in a stretch in ages, so I’ll be increasing that over March while I keep a close eye on my ITBS to make sure I don’t have any flareups. I’d like to be back to Marathon distances by late April along with being near century rides (100mi) at that point as well.

Poker’s off to a decent start for this month. I got in about 1.5k hands while testing out Table Ninja FT on Rush PLO today. Rush PLO used to feel swingy until I started playing lots of HUPLO — now it’s pretty tame by comparison. I’ll try to get in at least 10k hands again this month of overall PLO play.
