30 minute sessions
I’ve been using a timer recently to limit my sessions to 30 minutes so that I can still mix work and getting in hands. This is especially helpful after days like today, where I ran about 6BI under expectation in allin pots. Normally EV adjustment isn’t the best way to tell how you’re running, but when you’re consistently getting it in very good in 3-way and sometimes 4-way allins and not winning with good draws or holding with decent equity, it’s pretty tough to stomach.

That’s all for today, just another reminder that variance in PLO is brutal. I’m going to focus on studying some more, there are definitely some marginal spots that I’m setting up for myself, that while I’m getting it in good postflop I’m setting up potentially nasty scenarios with my preflop habits. Example:

T876ss from EP is pretty junky - listen to Vanessa! It has a high-gap and doesn't really hit many boards very well.

I agree 100%, that was near the end of my session and I think I was on a bit of "get unstuck" tilt. Took a note to behave better preflop next time.

Do we not worry about balancing our opening ranges down at 25nl? I might play this for a raise pre and then control the pot after the flop depending on how it flops.
what are you doing if a  comes on the turn? bet or c/c?
