Dropped down in stakes, ran better
Played better as well, I think. Realizing that there is an absolute shitstorm of 3-betting, 4-betting and 5-betting going on in these games so I’ve slowed my game down a bit, playing a lot less OOP and playing a bit more straightforwardly. Treating people’s ranges a bit more narrowly postflop is helping as well — I may have been running into the top of people’s ranges a fair amount in the past 2 days, but for the most part, I should be realizing it earlier.
Went from 23/18 with a 3-bet % of 11 yesterday to 18/12 with a 3-bet % of 4 today. Far less maniacal, not as much fun, but much lower variance.
