Hello and howdy to my new readers and future fanboys! I am an idiot from Northern Europe and this is where I will be ranting, cheering and musing about all things poker. I will post hands, come up with theory, ramble, discuss and blab away. This is my first post here and I will try to keep a regular habit of posting hands that have either some strategic or entertainment value.Â
Also, John Stossel did a piece on it recently, featuring none other than Andy Superbloch!
But after dismounting our political unicorn, let's actually do something productive and check out a sweet 400NL hand I recently played!
Hero (SB): $424.00
Pre Flop: ($6.00) Hero is SB with Q K
1 fold, MP raises to $12, 2 folds, Hero calls $10, 1 fold
Flop: ($28.00) 6 6Â KÂ (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $18.00, Hero raises to $56, MP calls $38
Turn: ($140.00) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $96.00, MP calls $96
River: ($332.00) T (2 players)
Hero bets $260.00, MP calls $260
Final Pot: $852.00
Hero shows Q K
UTG shows Q A
Hero wins $849.00
In summary, if there are a lot of bluffs in your perceived range, you're playing loose and you don't rep a whole lot on a board and you're also not expected to checkraise a K, it's good to take this line for value, where you are going to get bluffcatched upon a lot. Gotta figure out which level they're on and then go one higher!
That's it for my first post peeps!
