My poker experience

So I redeposited 500 dollars to Bodog on Saturday night on my new account with rakeback and a nice 110% deposit bonus. Was running pretty well till yesterday. I am on a 8 to 10 buyin downswing, not really sure exactly, don’t feel like loading up HEM. But damn this really sucks.Before I withdrew my whole roll a couple weeks back I went on this same type of swing at 50NL and I lost like 500 bucks leaving me with 1k roll left, now it’s happening again. I am really discouraged right now, feel really lost at playing this game. I have been playing really well too as of late my game has improved so much from watching DC vids, reading alot, and trying to get involved on the forums more. 3 months ago I was playing a 27/22 or so playing too many hands out of position and just generally making a good amount of mistakes. Much study and play I am now a 21/19 and I feel like I am on the right track. I am starting to get decent at assigning certain and different player types ranges. I have also made some really good hero calls as of late and making really thin value bets all the time. I do know that I am evolving as a poker player but damn where are the results lol. Well, I know if I continue to play and work on my game they will come, but man this is really rough on me.

Aside from poker my personal life has really been a downer too. My ongoing depression is really bad as of late and I don’t have much motivation to do anything besides play poker. I have really bad social anxiety so it keeps me from going out a lot. My dad was pretty rough on me yesterday about not having a job for the past 2 months, I don’t blame him, but he really doesn’t understand the way I feel. It’s pretty brutal.

So what i’ve been doing is trying to exercise a couple of times a week and am trying to clean up my diet a little(Lol had alot of burger king last nite though :X) Hopefully I can turn this around along with my poker results which really doesn’t help.

Well i’m going to get back to watching WiltOnTilt’s Real life NL micro grinder vid.

Hey everyone to whoever reads this,

I’ve been on a poker break for about a week or two, I withdrew my whole bankroll or whatever is left of it to redeposit on a new account with rakeback, because I have been playing without it :X. I have been grinding the past two months. Things started out pretty good. Started at nl25 with an $800 bankroll or so, built that up and a week later or so I moved up to NL50 with a 1250 roll. Things at NL50 have been like a roller coaster. When I first hit NL50 I ran pretty well, hit the 2k roll mark and took a shot nl100. The shot didnt go too well and moved back down after a 2 buy in stop loss. Things have been extremely bumpy while grinding NL50, had to move back down to NL25 quite a few times. Just up until I took my withdraw and am taking a much needed break from poker, I felt pretty unmotivated to continue grinding, but now hitting this week or so break, I am feeling motivated and ready to get back to the grind. I am redepositing on Bodog on a new account now with rakeback and a juicy 100% redeposit bonus. After looking at the rake I have paid in HEM I am pretty happy to have finally made a new account with rakeback. Hopefully when I hit NL50 again this time (maybe 3rd or 4th time) I will be able to stay and run good for a change and become a NL100 regular. I don’t know. On my break from Poker I have been studying quite a bit reading Bill Vosti’s E-book and watching/re-watching a few DC videos.(Thanks to the DC instructors, Especially TubaSteve :D) Well I know i’m not that the best writer but it will sure be cool to look back at these posts months and years from now. Well anyways I’m gonna get back to the DC video I was just studying.

I’ll probably update again tommorow after I get my 1st session played in some time.
