Live poker and etiquette
I have no idea what the world circuit is like regarding poker etiquette, but let me tell you this, I’ve witness some pretty disgusting behaviour here in the UK!
I’ve just come back from a live tournament, and a guy at the next table to me, was completely out of line. I didn’t witness the hand he was involved in, but from what he said I think his opponent made some crazy move and sucked out. Anyway, this guy jumps out of his seat, and yells at this guy (everyone in the place heard him), calling him “a f%cking fat fish!†and then absolutely berates the guys play. The guy doing all the yelling was clearly pretty drunk, swigging his beer and as he goes to sit down 1 of the tournament directors comes over and has a word with him.
Now if it was my club? I’d get security to boot this guy out. It’s plain disrespectful to swear at a guy like that. I see week in week out people make hideous moves against me or my opponents and hit their 1 outter. It happens. Fish will always be present, unthinkable calls, shoves w/e will be made and people will suck out on the river. But come on. Have a bit of respect, take it on the chin and move on to the next hand.
I could continue my rant about people who openly discuss the strength of another guys hand in a multi way pot and influencing action, or people who slow roll other players, but I guess my point is, are people just blissfully ignorant to poker etiquette? Am I missing something?

I think bad players also have bad etiquette, making it very easy for other players to put up with there tyranny. We will put up with their BS because we know that in the long run they will be shipping us money.
I play at a poker club where these two younger guys got completely out of hand one night. They were obviously intoxicated and completely berrating other players. The room boss actually took a discrete survey from other players whether or not they should be booted out for the night, and everyone said NOOOO don't do it. The reasoning was because one of the kids was 7BIs deep and starting to just throw his chips into the wind. After he crashed with 0 left, then we kicked him out ;).

Yeah good points.
Glad your opponent got felted. Sounds like he deserved it.
I just felt sorry for the guy who this bully decided to humiliate like that. Even if he made a ridiculuous decision, I think you have to show a bit of class, say nice hand, make a mental note that he makes stange decisions and make sure you win a big pot against him later.

All I know is if someone was berating me in that kind of manner, I'd want his ass kicked out before he kicked mine lol.

haha
Interestingly, the guy being yelled out didnt say a word as he scooped the pot. Maybe the punk doing all the shouting knew this would be the case hence the macho rant.
