live update

I played the usual £25 live tourney last night. Got off to a really solid start- basically doubled my starting stack by pwning in position and hitting a couple of decent hands, but then in level 3 I lost a showdown and this guy played it pretty poorly imo (I could have played it poorly too tho I guess). Villain was big blind I was small. I had 56 of clubs. His stack around 1500 I had like 6k ish. It’s folded to me I complete he taps the table. I flop an open ended straight draw + a flush draw, and there’s also an ace on board. I sometimes lead out in situations like this, but I decide to check considering a check raise, or even check call, but wouldnt be disgusted if he checks behind me. He bets just under half pot for which I read as pretty weak, either a really weak ace or mid pair. As I probably have quite a lot of outs (obv I wasnt sure if my flush draw was any good but it could be), I raise it up to 3 x his bet, I have him well covered and wouldnt mind him folding or shoving tbf in which im getting a good price.
He looks really pi$$ed off, turns his ipod down/off, frowns, thinks for about 10 seconds, and shrugs and goes all in. This donk didnt like to hollywood when he had a massive hand, and his body language was pretty honest up til this point. So I call. He’s got like a 10 high flush draw (10/3 clubs), on a wet board! Obviously I turn a 5 to take a big lead and he binks a club on the river to double through me! Hated the way he played it, never really recovered any kind of momentum after that point and ended up busted in like 25th ish, when my steal shove was snapped off by a baby-faced assasin who slow played KK pre flop.

So i decided to play a cash game, made about £80 profit over 3 hours at the table and went home, like around £50 up for the night taking away my BI for the tournament, drinks food etc. nb I guess. I ran pretty good in the cash game I admit, got AA twice in 1 hour and was firstly up against KK to pick up £100 then another £50 for a guy that was on life tilt and had mid pair (I also flopped the NFD when he shoved, so he was drawing pretty thin!
