So this guy 3bets a lot from the blinds, his hud says 8-9% from blinds, it seems higher than that, he has done it to me a couple times when I opened in early position and in late position, so this isn’t the first time he’s 3b my EP open. I decided that TT was too strong to fold, but vs a nitty 3bettor from the blinds this would be a typical fold. I thought 4b/getting it in was a bit much too although not horrible given he has been 3betting me a decent bit and it could appear i’m getting fed up, only problem is, it’s hard to 4b a 14bb 3b to a size that looks bluffy with 100bb stacks so I figure it would look too strong. So all things + position considered I thought calling was best.
My plan for postflop was to call a bet on a lot of boards, probably fold to a 2b most of the time since we have no postflop history. So I did just that on the flop, but when he bet so small on the turn, it just looked like air more than a made hand, as I figured a made hand would often make a more committing type bet on the turn, but looking back on it given stack sizes I can easily see him making this bet size with any hand he wanted to stack off with.
I felt uneasy about this hand because by the time I got to the river I knew that if he had an overpair that he had just pretty much owned me, because I couldn’t fold to his river bet, but in all fairness I didn’t plan on folding to it when I called the turn. So what’s optimal here?
