They say it's lonley at the top...
Hey guys,
I'm bored chilling listening to music. (If you were wondering why the blog title? It's just a random lyric from the song I'm listening to "Moment of Truth" by Gang Starr) and figured I'd update my blog for all you dedicated readers out there :p
I have gone through a strong transformation of my poker game. I have realized a lot of things that a lot of people have been telling me all along.
I finished Tommy Angelo's series, and It put a lot of my tilt problems into perspective allowing me to tackle them much easier. I have taken a break from stud games to focus on RUSH FR NL. SO far so good. I have put in a lot of work watching videos and posting hands to improve my game. I feel like a lot of concepts I already knew from previous grinding. NLHE was my first game after all. So I made myself a few goals with the intent to hit them to the best of my ability.
80-90k hands at RUSH FR NL this month
Finish watching a DC series on Fullring
Finish reading Tommy Angelo's Book (Finished watching the series, but not yet the whole book)
I have 24k hands so far this month, and I have to say I'm definitely on a heater. I'll throw up a graph for those giraffe lovers.

My goal is to be grinding 2/4 RUSH by the end of the year or early in 2011. Now you might be thinking... "Ceegee why FRNLHE? that's like so boring and not profitable!"
Well with the addition of RUSH i think that it is definitely profitable as it is marketed heavily to the TV poker viewers. (Ever see the fulltilt rush commercial? lol) and with the new addition of RUSH mobile, there will definitely be a new market of people coming to it. Anyway it has been going great so far as you can see. I have been practicing tilt control and lobbing off my C game. SO far I believe I've been successful. I pay more attention to my grind, cut out distractions and sit up straight every now and then to focus better. Oh ya and I Breatheeee a whole lot more.

Funny, I've been listening to the Gang Starr greatest hits cd in my car for the past week(not that I drive very much). I used to have Moment of Truth, but all my cds got stolen. Above the Clouds has always been one of my favorite songs.

I wish all the kids these days would listen to Gang Starr instead of all that riff raff

I love hip hop... can't stand bad rap. Gang Starr, Binary Star, Common, The Roots, Drake and a few others are my favorites I think

You know who I always liked that never gets any credit is Das EFX. Their 3rd album Generation EFX was one of my favorites...wish I still had it.

Mad props from fellow hip hop heads. Thumbs up on the Gang Starr reference. RIP Guru. A momentum to Moment of Truth
"On the microphone you know that I'm one of the best yet
Some punks, ain't paid all of their debts yet
Tryin to be fly, ridin high on the jet-set
With juvenile rhymes makin fake-ass death threats
Big deal, like En Vogue, here's something you can feel
Styles more tangible, and image more real
For some time now, I've held the scrolls and manuscripts
When it's time to go all out you be like, "Damn he flipped"
Now I'm sick, fed up with the bullshit
Got the lyrical full clip, giving you a verbal asswhip
Don't trip it's the gifted prolific one
Known as Bald Head Slick -- why is the press all on my di-dick?
My style be wilder, than a kamikaze pilot
Don't try it, I'm about to start more than a friggin riot
Styles unsurpassable, and nuccas that's suckas, yo
Them motherfuckers are harrassable
For I be speaking from my parables and carry you beyond
The mic's either a magic wand
Or it gets tragic like the havoc of a nuclear bomb
Then I grab your palm, no pulse you're gone
And if you thought we'd lose our niche in this rap shit you way wrong
I stay up, I stay on, shine bright, like neon
Your song's, pathetic, synthetic, like Rayon
Fat beats, they play on, want dope rhymes, put me on
Word is bond... you know my steez"
