Vegas booked!
Looks like I’m on my way to my first WSOP. I have so many people to meet over 3-4 years of talking strategy/coaching/learning from. (My poker buddy list is bigger than my school list on aim now!) I can only think good things to come this summer with rooming with 5 other poker players (all big bet!) which will leave me more room to get better at big bet poker. So as you can all tell I’m super excited after booking my plane ticket (my villa is already booked and paid for) so all that is left is the time from now to June 1st and some sick long sessions and studying nothing but poker. (Couldn’t ask for much more)
On a side note I’ve been watching some NLHE videos to prepare myself for cash games at the WSOP and to better myself in 8 game. I have to say when I find an instructor I like I generally stick to their videos and Balugawhale has impressed me greatly in this respect. I like the way he thinks and analyzes most hands by taking each hand out of a vacuum and addressing it appropriately instead of what a lot of people do and generalize. (IE. ya we should 3 bet because hes a LAG… but what if it’s a LAG that isn’t capable of folding to 3 bets? etc…) I would advise all you up and comers to watch the new Kristy series. Unfortunately for me right now he’s a little on the pricey side so I’m still looking for a FR NLHE coach to help me prepare for playing 100nl/200nl online and 1knl live! Good luck in vegas dude, I am going out for the first time also.. when are u going to be there? I agree about Baluga he is the nuts, watch all of coaching tree seasons 1 and 2 imo as well as his parallels.
