So it begins... we are @16BI's 4 10NL
Hey to all that are reading,
I have been playing poker for 2 years in April. I have been playing micro stakes all that times somewhere between 10NL and 50NL. It changes like the season's. Which is not good - but I haven't busted my roll once in that time.
I decided that this year I would start writing a blog - about my poker experiences, a journeys log of the brutality of it all. The suck outs, the beats and the moments of pain we all experience. However I know I will also get my fair amount of good luck as well. And this is where the skill comes in I guess.
I regularly post on 2p2 under the same screen name - in the micro stakes strategy forum which I will continue to do. This is more of a place to write thoughts and observations about the limits I am playing, how we can improve as players and how you beat the limit you are playing.
So we have 16BI's at the moment for 10NL - which is not ideal but we did have 20BI's on Sunday - but I ran bad, not awful but bad and tilted a little for about an hour or so - which sucks. I know I ideally I want to have 25+BI's fo a limit but I think 16BI's is fine for 10NL - as long as you don't tilt! I am gonna take 3BI shots at a level once I have 20BI's for it. It's an aggressive BRM strategy but I play a style where if I run at decent ev - I can win fairly consistently. Besides I cannot play 5NL - it is not poker, the player pool is just too massive to form reads and players are so random you only play AA, AK, KK, QQ and sometimes JJ and when you do that - you are essentially swapping coolers.
I'll update this blog with HEM graphs and any interesting hands I have when I have them. (Which will hopefully be often)
Not sure if this journey is gonna be pretty - it might get cold, wet and raw but it'll be honest at least!
(Will be playing tonight - oh and I play on Pokerstars btw)

You're wrong about 5NL. If you can't beat 2NL and 5NL then you probably can't beat 10NL and beyond.....

Thanks for the insight. I have beaten 5NL in the past - but I wasn't learning anything and I wasn't playing what I would call "poker". I might be wrong, I guess we will see...

GL, but it sounds a bit optimistic.
