Life of a Low Stakes Grinder

Well the weekend is finally here.. It has been a bit of a rough week. Had two mid-terms and was a little stressed about the one I had this morning. Thank god they are over and I can focus more on poker.

So my plan for the weekend is to put in some hours grinding 10NL on cake poker; trying to get that bankroll up to $500ish on cake to move up to their .1/.2NL game. I think I’m wise in grinding on cake because the rakeback just helps so much. It litterally adds 2BB/100 or $4 per 1k hands @ 10NL. This is extremely substancial when trying to move ahead. Just the last 3 days I’ve been playing on cake I’ve earned $15 in rakeback. I will try to put around 3,000 hands in this weekend.

Even more important for the weekend is watching the training videos. Right now I’m just watching ‘From the ground up’. Onto episode 3.. Intructors are awesome! The content is obviously pretty second nature but even still it sharpens you game and makes you realize that you do only have to play very basic poker to beat these lower games.

As far as the rest of the month goes, just trying to grind this bankroll back up to the 1K mark through 6max nlhe games. This site is pretty much a godsend to me from a training perspective.

Anyways, better get back to grinding..
