Dare I set Summer Goals?
Getting sick of setting goals I can’t/don’t acheive.
I finish my job september 15th and I need to make partial income from poker at this time. Ofcourse I need a bankroll for this.. Say.. 60 buy-ins @ 50NL? This isn’t my goal however. I can just put 3k online in Sept if I wanted that. My goal is to prepare for this.
May-Sept 15th goals:
1. 100,000 hands
May: 20,000
June: 25,000
July: 25,000
Aug/Sept: 30,000
2. Study
3. Good Sessions; Quit well; Tiltless; yada yada yada
4. Good gym workouts 5 days/week
5. Vacation / camping / Get out of the city 8 of 16 weekends
6. Make some money off cake/power poker rakeraces
7. Don’t lose money
Notice that there is no monetary goals (besides #7) – my hope is to play a lot more than 100k hands but this goal is easily acheivable and thats what I need. Most of the hands I’ll play over the next 4 months will be 4-tabling 20-100nl 6max and probably some HeadsUP.

Goals should always be achievable with a bit of work.
If you set them too high, even if you're confident in your own abilities, you'll no doubt get frustrated and disheartened when you never hit them.
So have a good think about them and set them accordingly. Maybe post in the forums and get advice from coaches.
oh and crush everyone. GLGLGL :)
