A week of missed goals, profits, and comfort

This title seems strange.. Missed some of my targets but still had a great week.
I only set 1 goal for this week and that was to play 10,000 hands. Results were not important. I unfortunately didn’t reach that goal due to making a switch from pt3 to holdem manager. I lost every single archived hand I had when I deleted pt3 (if anyone knows I way I can retreive these plz let me know) and it took me a full day to get the program set up. The $50 promo from DC was great tho and HEM was fully worth the effort. The result was me playing about 7,500 hands for the week. Through 6k hands @ 10NL I ran 18BB/100 and well over $200 profit which is just a sick run. I also won 14 (YES FOURTEEN!!) $6.25 HU sng matches in a row (not sngs but matches; 4ppl hu sngs). After the 6k hands I made the switch to 25NL and have defintely found some comfort playing this level. I’m down about 1 buy-in at the level but as I gather some data and learn to play this level I’m fully confident I can grab some big result for the coming 10k hands.

So I’ll set the same goal for next week. 10,000 hands b/w Sunday-Saturday. I hope to play every one of these hands at 25NL but I’ll have to see how I run/play.

This week I also watched most of the ‘eightfold path to poker enlightenment’ series which I guess is what lead me to setting a hand goal rather than profit goal. I think this changed view will really help me grind these micro stakes. Playing hands tagg/lagg style is really all you need to do to beat these games so there isn’t really much point focusing on results.

Anyways, thanks for reading and good luck in this upcoming week of grinding!
