- I had seen this line used a million times on poker forums but never knew what it was from. I finally saw the episode of the wire that used this line. I had never realize dhow powerful of a statement this was as it was near the end of season 1. As I said before, it’s a great show and I’m really enjoying it so far. The plots are very complex and it’s tough to predict what is going to happen from scene to scene. They definitely stay away from story book endings.
- I’m one pound away from reaching my weight loss goal. Now the plan is to keep it off. It shouldn’t be that hard as baseball season starts up in about a month. While it’s not like baseball season is physically demanding; between throwing BP, hitting fungos, and just instructing I’ll at least be forced to be active day in and day out. Also, I plan on doing cardio at least 3 days a week.
- Poker wise I’ve decided just to 2 table for the next 2 weeks. While it’s great getting in more hands by 4 tabling, it just affects my focus too much. I had 4 tabled for the better part of 6 weeks and about the last week or so I’ve noticed my tilt problems creeping back in. I’ve put a ton of time into fixing those so I immediately tried to figure out what had changed.
I think I’ve diagnosed the problem and the last couple days had been much better. While I’m not a big believer in non-SD winnings. I was looking at my graph and it had gotten to the point where it was a deterrent and a pretty big leak. Unfortunately when I 4 table I just enter auto pilot mode and play extremely fit or fold. I’ve adjusted my prop bet for this month to hours and I’m going to be making another hours prop bet next month.
“I attempt an arduous task; but there is no worth in that which is not a difficult achievement.â€
