Tough Decission
Before I get to the main point about my blog post, just my usual random thoughts and updates.
- I’m now down 11 pounds to 179. Not sure how much longer I want to keep dieting but I am enjoying the cardio aspect of the day that I used to hate. I’ll definitely be running in a 5k this summer as I’ll have a lot more free time since I’m not coaching summer ball. As for the diet, I think I’m just going to continue it until my birthday (February 6) I expect to be at my goal (175) soon and figure I just may as well go a couple more weeks. The hard part will be not to go back to me sweet tooth habits.
- Big Monday is going to be pretty awesome tomorrow. As a SU/Michigan basketball fan (I know it’s weird) Michigan is starting to play better lately but it looks like Syracuse could be a final 4 team. They end a 3 game rod trip at ND tomorrow as part of Big Monday. The second game is Texas @ Kansas St. Although I don’t really like Frank Martin or Rick Barnes it should be a great game. Kansas St really isn’t an easy place to win. Should be fun. (Here’s an example of one of their pregame rituals. I actually remember watching this game and the chant was awesome)

Ok now for my tough decision. As far as BR management has been going it’s been working really well. I don’t check my cashier or graph at all during sessions and the swings are much easier to handle. I only wish I wasn’t so stubborn and did this much earlier last year. Onto my dilemma, I do want to learn PLO again however I’m not sure how effective I’ll be at playing/studying two games at once.
I’ve contacted KasinoKrime about coaching and he’s told me how soft 100 PLO is and I do think if properly rolled I could do very well in those games and higher as I become more comfortable. At the same time, I don’t want to hinder my HUNL progress either. One option I was thinking of is having a PLO week and HUNL week. Before when I tried to mix the two games in the same day it was overwhelming. This way I would study one game solely for one week and another the next.
From what I understand PLO games are still soft but are only going to become tougher. I’d like to get ahead of the learning curve now and I think I’m going to as soon as I have 100 BI for 100 PLO which shouldn’t be too much longer. If anyone has any suggestions or if anyone plays 6 max PLO and HUNL I’d love to hear your thoughts.
